All Star Movies - Movie Theme Choices

For a long time, I've been curious about this. I've never stayed at All Star Movies, but in looking at photos I've found myself wondering why with so many truly classic and beloved Disney films, (Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, Finding Nemo, Aladdin to name just a few from relatively recent years...not to mention, Dumbo, Bambi, Cinderella, Snow White, etc.) Disney decided to choose The Mighty Ducks, Fantasia 2000 and The Love Bug? I understand the original Fantasia, Toy Story and 101 Dalmatians but the others left me really puzzled.

Does anyone know the designer's reasons for choosing the film's they did?

I'm not sure, but ASMO opened in 1999. The Mighty Ducks started coming out in 1994 ending in 1996 with D3. The franchise was fairly popular and considering they probably would have settled on the different themes around 1995, that might be why the Mighty Ducks were chosen.

Also, since it is devoted to all movies, not just animated ones, I am assuming they wanted to represent some live action movies. Since The Mighty Ducks and Herbie were fairly popular franchises at the time, this might be why they were chosen.

Just a guess, maybe someone has a definitive answer.

With the Mighty Ducks, I think they were probably thinking that this would be a compromise for those people who could not get the Sports themed resport. The only other thing I figure is that they have enough rides and characters in the actual parks that cover the classics, this is their way to give a nod(and maybe sell a few DVDs) to the lesser known movies.
