There could definitely be some people with flexibility in travel waiting to book

But probably more just scheduled for later in the summer, if Starlight and/or TT3.0 were important to them, and once you hit mid August start having the benefit of the Halloween parties so can't imagine a huge uptick in bookings after a date this is announced.

Just something else to add a bit of excitement with trips already booked or locals

The $99 hotel and half-off kids tickets is a pretty decent enticement. It would be nice if some of the "new" stuff was open early in the summer though. I don't think there's really much else to draw if they're not.

My guess? They haven't been fully infected by Bob and Josh yet, and leadership there still has some level of autonomy (and a clue). Others around here probably know more of the story.
International parks tend to have a bit more latitude than domestic (and DL quite a bit more than WDW). Orlando until just about 9/11 had similar levels of pull but sometime between that and the Great Recession really lost out. At least is my understanding... If leadership have a clue is dependent on your own opinion. Personally, I'm still of the opinion that perhaps Disney let some of their best retire too soon, and now keep people who aren't so good shuffling around in different spots instead of letting them go (especially at park VP and above).

I’ve heard the parade is facing delays. Unsure of how long.

EDIT: Not sure what happened with my autocorrect but you guys sure reminded me why I haven’t posted in months. :)
