I am at the magic kingdom right now, and all monorails are down. Does this happen often? The cast members will not give a reason why.

Probably s__________g down some serious power with the air conditioners blasting away!
I wouldn't be surprised if they fry transformers every now and then with the power draw.

I was there and leaving mk while this was going on. They might have been moving trains around. The Tron monorail was on the mk line this morning and when we left, it was on the epcot line.

in full disclaimer, they do usually do a switch sometime between 330 and 530 bringing a train out from shop for the night rush. I worked 4 days in a row over that time frame and each day they would do this and clear the line and send people to the Ferry.

Saw this happening the other day when I was there. Everyone was being directed to the Ferry and were not allowed to go to the Express monorail. By the time I got to the TTC on the resort monorail (I was going to the Polynesian) it was running again.

Yes, I have been caught in it in the past. Trying to get from CR to Epcot for a dinner ressie @ 5:00 PM and it took us well over an hour to get there. :brick: Unfortunately from the CR there is no other way to get there and we were late.

This is one of the biggest problems with monorails. Once problems arise it shuts down everything on the line. and in this case just to adjust capacity does the same thing.
