All MK Expansion Pads?

I seem to remember seeing a google earth picture of Magic Kingdom with all of the expansion pads labeled on the picture on one of the forums here. I can't seem to find it anymore. If someone could post it here or send me a link to the picture that would be fantastic. Thanks!

Should get you close enough...though the two rear pads in this have some fallout concerns for fireworks...

In reality, their "expansion" area goes far beyond was is designated as an "expansion pad." They can fill in water features, relocate parking lots, and essentially do whatever they want on their property. MK could double in size with enough money and effort.

It seems to me, and someone can correct me if I'm wrong, that one of the biggest issues with any MK expansion would be current backstage areas/show buildings. If you look at the picture posted above, most expansion areas are directly behind backstage areas and show buildings, which would necessitate blocking the view of these areas from guests. Also, the pathway to get to an expansion in the area northwest of BTMRR and TSI would seemingly have to go through a backstage area as the FL pathway dead ends at BTMRR-the new path would have to go behind BTMRR or around and behind HM. Nothing impossible, but definitely something that would take some planning. I would be very interested to see how they would achieve this.

Not as big a deal as you seem to think it is. Disney has done it dozens of times before. Facades, etc are quite easily done, especially when the masking is from ground level (as paths would be).

I've always assumed they would eventually encircle RoA with a path and put another attraction or 2 north of BTMRR. WRE or another FrL style ride.

The new Toy Story expansion is in what was backstage at DHS which is next to a parking garage.

I wish they would! The dead ends at HM and (especially) Splash/BTMRR are annoying from a guest movement standpoint. It's great that DL is finally addressing this an hope WDW does at some point as well.

There isn't a dead end anymore at the HM thanks to the hole in the hill.

To get to the HM area from Splash or BtM is still quicker via Fantasyland than a route around the river.

Nonetheless this is something that's being talked about but nothing is happening as of yet and may not happen.

That's a LOT of river to walk around. Bigger than what DL's used to be. I'm afraid they'd only add an attraction and a path around the river if they seriously truncate it (much more than what's happening at DL) or destroy the loop altogether, leaving the steamboat docked.
