All day Rave concert...

The 25th I'm going to an allday "rave" event...

Here's the lineup...it should be a decent show and I'm wondering if any of you "Concert followers" can try and help me figure out who the surprise act is...

There are 2 stages and a Rave tent...

The Pit Stage, the Shed Stage (main stage), and the "Tent"
(along with BMX stunt riders and boarders...halfpipes...and "skatepark")

Pit Stage:
1. Winner of the "Rock and Roll Rumble" (local band)
2. (hed) PE
3. Hot Hot Heat
4. Interpol
5. The Ataris
6. Finch

Rave Tent:
1. Donald Gaude
2. Charles Feelgood (no he's not a doctor)
3. Dave Ralph

Shed Stage:
1. Seether
2. The Donnas
3. The Used
4. Evanescence
5. AFI
6. Saliva
7. Blur
8. Jack Johnson
9. Beck
10. Good Charlotte
11. Dropkick Murphys
12. SECRET BAND

(not bad for General Admission and only $25) (outdoor event too)


(The only thing they've said about this "Secret" band is that they are headlining a MAJOR tour this summer) (This is taking place on May 25th in MA...) (The only bands I could come up with are Pearl Jam, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Aerosmith, and Staind)

Godsmack will be here...but play Saratoga Springs (which isn't that far away) on the 25th.

hmm I agree,doesn`t seem to be any real good bands,but I`m not sure who that would be,there are so many tours going on this summer as it is I have gone to 4 concerts allready and I`m going to atleast 6 more this summer!:D

No good bands? What about 2. (hed) PE ???? Apparently I am the only one here who listens to Jahred, DJ Product and friends. I suggest you go pick up their albums. Try Broke, or Blackout, both amaxing albums. Finch is also an awesome band guys!:confused:

No good bands??? Beck, Blur, Finch, and Jack Johnson alone are enough to go. On top of that, you've got "Secret Band" which will more than likely rock out. I'm thinking of the Red Hot Chili Peppers (who I shall be seeing 6/6), since they don't have anything scheduled on that date. They seem like a good fit.

You want to know how much I know? LOL! I thought they mainly played Trance and techno music at raves!:lol:
I have never been to one being that I have never heard anything good about Raves,all I have heard about is the rampant drug use and elicit ______!:eek: but the Red Hot chilli peppers are good!:D

Yeah I dont understand how it's a 'rave' with those bands...Ive never even heard of a rave with a band lol. Usually a warehouse, a DJ, twinkly lights, eurotrash/techno music and lots of drugs, pacifiers and bottled water lol....oh yeah and candy jewelry. Lol

Those are the "RAVES" I`ve heard about!:lol:

Its not an actually "RAVE," concert, its actually a radio station in Boston's annual summer concert the WBCN River Rave.

There is a rave tent though but no one really goes in there til later on in the day.

Its just a big rock concert the station has every year.

I had tickets but I sold them cause just about every band playing is awful.


As for the special band, all I know is there set time is to start around 4:15-4:30 in the afternoon and according to people I know at WBCN its Staind.

If you paid 25 bucks you must have lawn seats which are general admission, I paid 65 for the tickets I had but those were in the pavilion seats, 6 rows from the stage and not general admission.

107.3 WAAF the ONLY station that REALLY ROCKS!! :p

Actually I rarely listen to the radio any more...none of the stuff I like gets radio play. :(

I still think AAF is the best out there though. :D

I used to really only listen to WAAF then basically they got rid of all there good DJS and now the station DJ's sucks.

The same with BCN, now all there DJs are just lousy.

I basically have stopped listenening to FM Radio in MA

Actually Josh hehe...at one time...I hated BCN (AAF, HJY, BRU, & FNX all the way) But...they've changed their format a little and introduced some older artists and music...(Now, if they could only replace Nik Carter Hmmmm :lookaroun )

(Oh...and if anyone's into "rave" music...check out Dave Ralph...I had never heard any of his stuff until last night and I gotta tell ya...WOW )

(Josh...I just called it a "Rave" because it's the name of the show...and I gotta say...when it comes to "Summer shows" 9 out of 10 times...the River Rave is better than the Localpalooza...although...this year may be that 1 out of 10 times...because this year's rave doesn't have a major "headliner")

You did hear that it was Staind from someone on the inside??? I hope so...I LOVE THEM! (Oh...and I would only want lawn seats for this all day event...it's general admission up until 5PM anyways...why pay 40 bucks more to have a seat in your way when you're moshin? hehe)

Yah I went to see Staind last Thursday at the Avalon Ballroom and I know someone from WBCN who is a big Dave Matthews Band fan and we post on the same message board and I asked him and thats who he told me.

And the lawn at the Tweeter Center sucks now, don't know if you've been there lately or not, can't see the stage at all.

I got my tixs through the presale thats why there so good but then the lineup came out and I decided not to go (the only act I like is Jack Johnson but I'm going to see him this summer when he & Ben Harper are touring together), I went the last 3 years when they had the River Rave at Foxboro Stadium/Gillette Stadium and the lineups were awesome but I have no idea what happened this year with this lineup.

I need the money for my annual DMB trip in August anyway

hehe...hence the reason that it's not in Foxboro this year :)
