Will be seeing Aladdin in IMAX anytime soon?? IMAX.com says it's being released in 2004, but I haven't yet heard anything from Disney about it. Will it follow the tradition of Beauty and the Beast and the Lion King and come out at the beginning of the year, or will we not see it released until later in the year??

Itll be released in late Q1-Early Q2 in IMAX and then itll be released on the Platinum 2-disk set in October.

Those stand for certain times of the year.
Q1-4=Quarter 1-4
Q1= Jan-Apr
Q2= Apr-July
Q3= July-first half of Sept
Q4=Last half of Sept-December.
Something like that.

Theres a DVD that talks about it. But I forgot which one it is, I have it, but I just have to find it. But I know its not on L&S 2 or the Lion King DVD.

Wait...the DVD for Aladdin...will this be a Special Edition like Lion King, B&B, etc.?
Oh me hopes so because Aladdin is in the top 3....

Yes, its coming to DVD in October 2004, like Ive been saying.
For the most part, if its (any Disney movie) is released on IMAX (Thats a reissue) now, itll be on DVD as part of the platinum series.
A friend of mine has the list of DVDs coming up for next year. Next time I talk to him Ill ask him to give me the list.
The Plat. series is running for like a damn long time, until 2012 I believe.
If Im remembering right (This being a Monday and no coffee yet, Ill say Im not), the next IMAX/DVD for the plats. after Aladdin will be The Little Mermaid.
I wonder if they'll have the other 2 movies in the series on DVD when Aladdin gets released. I think they will because we're getting Lion King 2 on DVD because of the first one being released.

I know that Bambi is supposed to be released in 2005. Lilo and Stitch Special Edition comes out in February!!!!!

Those are the major ones....excluding the already mentioned Aladdin and Lilo and Stitch SE. Also on the list but not so important are Lion King 1 1/2, Lion King 2, Mulan 2 & Pocahontas 2. Yuck....cheapquels. Lion King 2 wasn't too bad...Austrailia did it and they are a half decent studio......didn't like Pocahontas 2 though and hopefully we'll never see anything as bad as Tarzan and Jane and Hunchback 2 ever again now that the Japan studio is down.
