AKL - silly question but...

I guess this may be a silly question but being a newbie to AKL and having not been to Disney world for 9 years I wanted to check.

We will be spending 10 nights in Disney for our honeymoon in November,n5 nights AKL and 5 nights PORS.

Question: is the kidani village pool only for DVC members or can everyone who stays at AKL use it?

Also, can guests from either port Orleans resorts use the pools at FQ and RS?

Any guest of Kidani or Jambo may use their pool. A guest of Kidani may also use Jambo's pool and vice versa.

We spent a week at Kidani last fall and used both pools, but like the pool at Kidani best. It seemed quieter, more intimate and has a great water slide.

To add to what everyone else said which is correct also at POR/POFQ you can use both there as well just like at AKL/Kidani.

Staying at AKL in October with 2 small kids. Last time we stayed there, Kidani had yet to be built (and no kids yet).

Would it be feasible for us to get to Kidani's pool from Jambo house? How is the walk? Would it be easier to take the bus over? I'm sure the kids will enjoy the pool at Jambo House, bus just curious about our options.

There is a van that runs about every 10-15 minutes between Kidani and Jambo that you can take. The walk is less than 9 minutes from lobby to lobby, timed it last month .

Congratulations on your wedding and upcoming DisneyMoon! Kidani Village is our home resort; we love it. It's very quiet with lots of charm. Jambo House is great too, it's just bigger, busier, and louder. Both resorts have awesome pools, but I give the edge to KV.

With little kids, the Kidani pool is much better with its kiddie water play land. The slide is much better over at Kidani as well and it is usually less crowded there. With the kiddies another tip...for lunches and drinks there is only the bar(forget the name) at Kidani which has a limited menu as compared to the Mara over at Jambo House. Viewing of the savannahs is much better over at Jambo as there is only one view at Kidani over behind the bar.
