AKL & parks question

Hi all!

We're headed back to WDW for New Years. We are at AKL again but this time in a savannah room.

I have 2 questions...

1) Do they put the animals away at night? If not, is there any noise? Anyone have experience with this or savannah rooms at AKL? I'm a light sleeper and am concerned about savannah animals waking me up because of noise. Is this crazy?

2) I'm still nursing my 2 year old and my 10 month old. I know that there are Family Care Centres in every park but I can seem to remember if you can nurse openly there without getting comments or having issues. I would hate to have to walk all the way back to the Family Care Centre if I'm at the complete opposite end of the park.

TIA!

1. Yes. You should not have any problems with animal noise. No guarantees though with the "animals" in the room next to you.
2. There are family care centers in all of the parks and nursing in public is allowed under Florida law. That being said, you are dealing with a 100k or more people from all over the world so there is no guarantee that someone will not say something so use your best judgement.

LOL! I figured as much about the animals next door.

Thanks!

I nursed with a cover (just my preference) at different locations around WDW. I even nursed my son on Living with the Land. You just do what you've gotta do!

Not all animals are put away - some of my best memories at AKL are going onto the balcony in the middle of the night and seeing a dozen or so gazelle or impala asleep in the savannah - as well as giraffes.

As far as noise, the balcony doors are very heavy and close tightly and shut out noise very well.
