Akershus Princess Breakfast

Just getting some ideas for next year's WDW adventure. Last year we had the Cinderalla Princess supper and this year we had the breakfast. My wife would like to do it again next year, but she already said she wants to do BOG again, and I may want to do Tony's Town Square again, and I don't want to do too many meals at MK. So I was thinking about the Akershus breakfast.

1) First of all, is it only the breakfast that is a princess meal?

2) Is it real American breakfast food, or is it the Norway food?

3) What princesses are there?

4) What are the hours for this breakfast?

5) If we get done at, say, 9:30 AM, do we have to go back to Future World until 11 AM when WS opens, or can we wander around WS?

6) Is it a pre-paid event, with a photo-package, like CRT?

1) At Epcot, yes. There's also Cinderella's Royal Table at Magic Kingdom
2) The menu appears to be pretty basic breakfast food.
3) "Princesses" who MAY appear include: Belle, Jasmine, Snow White, Princess Aurora (Sleeping Beauty), Mulan, and Mary Poppins
4) Breakfast hours are 8:00 - 11:10
5) I'm assuming they wouldn't let you wander around, but that's just a guess.

On question #1, what I meant was, is breakfast the only meal there that included Princesses, or are the Princesses also at lunch and supper?

Thanks for the other replies. :)

After I initially posted my questions, I went back and added a #6. Do you know the answer to that one?

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner include princesses (according to allears.net). You do get a photo package, but I'm not sure if the meal is prepaid.

We've done the princess breakfast twice at Akershus and loved it. There is a buffet that includes some "authentic" Norwegian foods like smoked salmon, but the main breakfast is just your standard eggs, bacon, sausage, etc.

To my knowledge you do not have to prepay for the breakfast, but you do have to give your credit card, which will be charged if you don't show up. You get a photo op with Belle before the meal, and the photo is included in the price.

Both times we had pre-park opening ADR's and you are able to wander through Future World and just that portion of WS that gets you to Norway I believe. We were more focused on running over to FW to get a Soarin FP when we finished, so we didn't linger in WS.

The princesses are at the other meals too, but dinner here was the only meal where our family uniformly all hated everything we ordered (two picky eaters, two who like most everything). The princess interaction, however, was amazing for the kids so the meal was not a total loss. I'd say, go with breakfast - it's harder to mess that up.

I think that the princesses appear throughout the entire day. We've only done the breakfast though.

2) Is it real American breakfast food, or is it the Norway food?

I guess I would say it's American breakfast food. They have a buffet which has pastries and fruit and then a plate is brought out to the table that has eggs, sausage, bacon, and cheesy hashbrowns. Personally, I don't really care for the food at breakfast.

3) What princesses are there?

When we were there this February it was Aurora (as you walked in), Snow White, Cinderella, and Belle. We've also seen Jasmine, Mulan, and Belle here though.

4) What are the hours for this breakfast?

Not sure, but you can get in before the park opens if you book a breakfast early enough. It makes for great photos with Spaceship Earth, etc.

5) If we get done at, say, 9:30 AM, do we have to go back to Future World until 11 AM when WS opens, or can we wander around WS?

Yes, you will have to go back to Future World until WS opens at 11 AM. They have the China pavilion and onward roped off so no one is allowed to go past.

6) Is it a pre-paid event, with a photo-package, like CRT?

I don't think it's pre-paid, but you do get the photo package. Upon entrance to the restaurant your entire party gets their picture with a princess up at the front. Usually it is Belle, but this past time Princess Aurora was there.
