Going to dinner here. How is the food? What is good on the menu? Thanks!

You'll get mixed reviews. Our family adored the princess experience here for dinner but didn't particularly enjoy the food (from a simple kids hot dog to a more typical Norwegian adult dinner entree). Just our opinion.

We thought the food was fine - nothing really stood out as being wonderful, but nothing was offensive to our palates either. Dessert was very good.

We had lunch there once. I hated the food, but my husband loved it. Now we just go for breakfast every visit. He can still get the weird fish stuff from the buffet then and I get food that I like. We all love the princess experience there.

We had the Traditional Kjøttkake and the Grilled Beef Sandwich last year. The meatballs were good, but nothing stood out to me about it and reminded me of Ikea. The sandwich was ok as well, though the blue cheese was not to my liking. I would probably get something different next time. Let's be honest - this place is all about the princesses.

I tolerated the food, but it was nothing that I'll be dying to go back for. My wife hated it. We may revisit in a few years when our youngest daughter is a bit older just for the princesses.

We are going this Sept More for the Princesses but I hope the food Isn't terrible. I will Probably Love it. Alot of people Hate Holly wood and Vine and I love it !!

We actually REALLY liked the food. The buffet had cheeses, salads, smoked fishes and meats which, while not mind blowing were fun to try. The main entree was really impressive. I had gotten the traditional "meatball" dish - (forgot the actual name) The portion was huge (like the size of a softball) and it was moist and very tasty. Hubby got a meat shank dish- he would easily put it in the top three meals. My sister got the mushroom ravioli - she's a vegeterian so her choices are limited - but she was pleased as well

We are planning a possible trip again this March. My DH is not a Disney freak like I am. He doesn't care which park we go to, which characters we meet - but he does have a strong input about where we eat - and he requested we revisit this place!

The food was good, though not great, I suppose. Our character interactions were very good.

The princess experience was the best I've been too (They're prettier than at the Castle ). They may not spend as much time at your table as the castle, but we don't have kids so we were happy with a quick pass and pictures. The buffet was interesting. The bf had steak of some sort that was rarer than he would have liked. I had the meatballs with ligonberry (sp?) sauce and they were fantastic. I was very happy with my experience and the free pictures with Belle were a plus.

We didn't care too much for the lunch & dinner options, but that was my own fault for not looking at the menu before we went. I would have known that there wasn't much I would eat, so I can't fault them for that. We loved the breakfast - one of our favorites. The Princess interaction I thought was better there that at CRT, and we felt less rushed.

We ended up at Akershus as a last minute thing without looking at the menu in advance and LOVED it. My beef was excellent, as was my DH's lamb, and the desserts were delicious. They looked after our 2 year old DS really well, too

We've done all 3 meals at Akershus and dinner was our fave (breakfast was least fave). I can't really recommend an entrée as I think the menu has changed up a smidge and I liked both mine and DH's food, but the koltbar is sort of the rock star of the meal for me...and dinner has the most offerings. Our kids also really enjoyed the food...DD5 was 2 last time we were there and I think she would have eaten her weight in shrimp salad, cold cuts and cheese had we let her.
