AK vs Epcot - 5 Reasons Why You Feel One is Better Than the Other

Epcot

1. Figment, mediocre ride be damned
2. A greater wealth of content
3. Illuminations
4.World Showcase and it's broad range of cultures represented.
5. Spaceship Earth

I love Animal Kingdom and it's thematic depth a lot, but it could use some expansion that ideally, shouldn't have anything to do with Avatar. It's also a fantastic companion piece to World Showcase, what with covering some ground that side of Epcot hasn't covered (and in Africa's case, being derived from Epcot concepts) and delving into the natural world. Also, it always seems on a trip that while I can easily go back to Epcot or Magic Kingdom on other days, I never find the time to go to Animal Kingdom again on a trip even though there's a few minor things I want to do.

Aninal Kingdom
1. live animals doing whatever they are doing at that particular time
2. for the beer drinkers among us, Safari Amber
3. for the diners among us, Tusker House and a Rainforest Cafe INSIDE the park
4. lots of foilage for cool walking even on the hottest days
5. Festival of the Lion King, the BEST show at WDW bar none

And to quote luv, "Epcot has many good points, too. I love Epcot! But I love the AK maybe a smidge more."

Here's 5 more:
1. Tree of Life, we find new carvings each time
2. It's Tough To Be A Bug, always hilarious
3. on the hottest days, HOPING that you're on the "get soaked" seat on Kali
4. the train ride and seeing which critters have "the day off" as a CM said on our last trip
5. did I mention live animals doing whatever they are doing on that particular day?

Ok, back on topic from you lushes. EPCOT, for it's two different areas. One being future, or somewhat future, and two, World Showcase. It is a full day place with lots of different things to experience. AK has great things as well, and we have become to appreciate the park more in our years. EPCOT top five: LWTL, SSE, Club Cool ( the coca cola place), WS, and Mouse Gears!

EPCOT
1- Going to the Rose and Crown for a Carl's Combo
2- The World Showcase players in the UK
3- The eggrolls in China
4- Turtle Talk with Crush
5- The park lends it's self well to when it is crowded. Unlike the AK which always seems packed because of the small walkways.

Epcot
1. More substance than DAK despite taking up less space.
2. Better park music
3. Wider variety of rides/attractions for all age groups.
4. When I first see SSE from the road, I think "Now I'm home". When I first see Tree of Life from the road, I think "Oh, there's that giant tree."
5. Better culinary offerings

Love AK but EPCOT is my second favorite park. Yes, there is TONs that could be improved in EPCOT especially Future World but it still the park with more interest to me and my family. Of our normal week stay we goto AK for 1/2 a day or 2/3 at most and spend at leave 2 days at EPCOT.

EPCOT
1- Better music
2- More rides my family enjoys (multiple times...)
3- Better food
4- Better shops
5- Great night time show
