Ak to AKL.

One Little Spark...
How far of a walk is it from The AK to the AKL? Are there any special pathways?
It's around 1 mile from the front gates to the Jambo House lobby.

However, don't do it. There are no sidewalks and no pathways and you'll have to walk along some rather dangerous stretches.

Take the resort bus or drive.

OK, thanks. We are thinking about lunch at Sanaa the day we go to the AK. I was just wondering if there was a scenic walk. We`ll just hop a bus.

You can walk from Jambo House to Kidani Village and back again, but to go anywhere else you need bus/car/taxi/etc. No walking past the security gate as it's really not safe. The bus from AK to AKL does run pretty frequently, especially towards closing as people often head to Boma AK closes for dinner.

Yes it would've ...... I've always wondered why this or a boat transport was not incorporated...AKL is the only deluxe resort without an option like this i believe
I've heard before that it's because the land between the two is a protected wildlife preserve. I personally would have liked a steam train or something like that between the two. You're right about it being the only deluxe hotel without some kind of alternate transport ... and that is kind of a bummer at what is otherwise a spectacular hotel.

There are options that they could have attempted, but they apparently weren't interested. They have been known to build rivers in the past...

"in the past" being the pertinent phrase. Even WDW has to tread lightly nowadays when it comes to building on protected wetlands or other endangered land. Look at all the stuff they did to rebuild the Treehouse villas - making them prefab, lifting the pieces over the trees so as to not damage what was around. Sure it was as much for PR as it was for genuine concern for the grounds. But it shows what you have to do. Ultimately, it might be way too cost prohibitive to do something that special for the AKL.
