AK Land clearing between Africa and Asia?

Anybody have an overhead of the park marked up where this is happening? I am terrible at attempting on those types of things and rather would lean on the genius of others on this site.

Come on Mystic Manor!!!!! And a signature dining experience!!!!! (No I have no insider knowledge, just hoping).
At last! Someone else who thinks Mystic Manor would be a great addition to DAK, god we can only hope :) I think Albert the monkey and a manor featuring the antiquities of Asian and African culture would sit nicely there! (About as likely as Figment getting his own Trackless ride)

That construction has been going on for some weeks now; saw it from the train about a month ago. It can't be a walkway since it dead-ends at the train tracks. My best guess would be something for Harambe Nights or other infrastructure of the land. It's way too wide for a walkway and way too small for an attraction - the cleared land is on a hill (just above the stroller parking for the train) and about the size of the house holding the merchandise shop next to the construction zone.

Too small for a ride, too large for a path. My guess...themed bathroom.

Great minds think alike!!!!! I think thematically it would be a great fit. They can change the old man (Lord Mystic?) to a collector of animal artifacts or a photographer of wild and rare animals (a cameo of Kevin the bird from "UP"-heck yeah!). The monkey would be a cute mascot for the ride, and sell a ton of merchandising. Add a restaurant to the area. It fits with the Asian theme. It would be a huge people eater in a park that could use it. It's family friendly. And would it get an unfair comparison to Haunted Mansion-sure? But who cares? If you've never seen the ride you should check out youtube for a ride-through- it truly is awesome!!!!!!

This is my biggest wish for AK!

Yeah, I don't see any reason why you can't have the same basic ride with a few tweeks to make it fit the DAK theme. If you put Mystic Manor in Africa or Asia, you just need to make the house exterior appropriate for the surroundings and have the backstory be the Lord Mystic either retired in said area (Harambe or Anandapur) or became a British magistrate there in his later years, etc.

The one biggest issue in terms of theming could be the timeframe involved -- Lord Mystic supposedly was a turn of the century explorer and both Harambe and Anandapur are set in modern times (I think?). An easy solution to this could be to make one of Henry Mystic's modern day heirs the host and have a backstory that it is the heir who has opened up the mansion to the public as a museum to show off the antiquities contained within.

Mystic Manor would really be a perfect addition to DAK -- family friendly, indoors, seems to have a significant capacity, different experience from the rest of the park (compliments existing offerings). And, honestly, why wouldn't Disney want to replicate such a hit attraction that already has been developed? Even if Hong Kong has a exclusive period, there has to be a time frame when it could be brought elsewhere.

Lord Mystic is one of the members of the Society of Explorers and Adventurers (or SEA, as in Tokyo DisneySEA), so they could just tie the altered storyline to another member, or one of their descendants. Other notable SEA members include Harrison Hightower (TDS's TOT) and Preston Whitmore (Atlantis: The Lost Empire), as well as the ones who appear in this painting but have no known names or backstories yet:
