AK Fall Hours

I just got a 5:45 PM Reservation at Yak and Yeti on December 13, 2016.

Up until today, you could not get a reservation later than 5 PM because that is when the park closes.

Somewhere in the Disney system they have December hours for Animal Kingdom later than 5PM.

They will be, although the schedule is typically only announced 4-6 weeks out. Should be at 8 pm, though perhaps not nightly (maybe only 3-4 nights/week).

This is too hard to plan! Wanted to go to Narcoosee's on my HS night if possible, and not sure what time to make the reservation, as the hours will never be accurate! :arghh::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

Agreed. I don't know why they have deemed it appropriate to announce fireworks times only a month out when we are supposed to plan FP+ 60+10 days out and dining 180+10 days. Bare minimum, they should announce 70 days out, since they want our plans solidified by then.

Why are we expected to know that we will want to eat Mexican for dinner in January 2017 but they don't need to commit to having fireworks in the Studios (they will) in September 2016? I assume they have to order said fireworks well in advance.

They must enjoy watching me go crazy.:mad::mad::mad:

I'm hoping to see RoL in January, and right now AK is set to close at 5pm there. I can make my ADRs shortly. Do you think I'll be safe making an 8pm dinner ADR at Disney Springs if I want to ensure catching RoL? (I don't mind taking a taxi if it comes down to that.)

Earliest RoL show time would be around 6pm.

Assuming a 20 minute show, and time getting out of the theater and walking to the parking lot, I would plan on leaving DAK around 7pm earliest. Then factor in 15 mins to get to DS by car, or 45 mins by bus.

Keep in mind that we go back one hour to standard time on 11/6. So a 7pm closure on 11/6 compared to 8:30pm on 11/5 is a half hour "earlier" at least as far as the animals are concerned.

I would probably expect ROL to start not too long after sundown anyway.

What time would it be, roughly, when it's completely dark outside in FL around December?
