AK extra magic hours

Has anyone tried the AK evening extra magic hours? Are the animals on the Kilmanjaro Safari active towards the end of the park hours?

The safari closes at sunset so it doesn't really matter. For example right now the park is closing at 5 but the safari closes at 4:30. Even with evening EMH the safari still closes at 4:30.

Right, the safari isn't open during EMH. Don't let that stop you from doing the EMH there though! The park is so beautiful at night and there is still plenty to do and see.

When we did Evening EMH at AK last Jan we had a blast, not much open but had a great time. AK has a great atmoshere after dark, it should not be missed.

Word to the wise eat before the park closes as there is not much to grab for snacks.

We did an AK Extra Magic Hours at night back in June. Saw FOTLK and Tarzan Rocks and rode Kali River Rapids several times.

Above posters quite correct, it's lovely at night. Everest is only going to improve this.

fun fact about animal kingdom. when the safari is closing.. listen for the strange tones in the background.

The animals at the safari are actualy trained to recognize their species specialized tone. that means come on home for the night.
