Airport Transfers

I'm looking for info on airport transfers. In particular, I'd like to know if anyone has gotten a limo ride to and/or from the airport and how you liked it? I booked a limo service (via the internet) on our last trip and didn't find them satisfactory (I won't mention the company). So, I'd like to know some of your thoughts. Any service that was really nice (or really bad)? How was the quality of the vehicle? How much did you pay? Did they provide any "added touches" and if so, what?

Here are some of the companies I am currently looking at:

Tiffany's Town Car
Orlando Limo Rental
Happy Limo
Southern Elegance
My Orlando Limo Inc.

Anyone with experiences with these companies? Or others I should look at?

Thanks for any thoughts!

not to get personal but when are you planning on going to Disney?? I ask because starting in May Disney themselves will be offering a free ( Yes FREE) shuttle bus service for all onsite guests. This will be in operation for free for at least 18 months!!! This may make your question a moot point!!! Belle

We are going in June. I had considered using the Disney transport, but the family really liked the limo last time and I was planning to do the same thing again. But....you have me thinking now....maybe I'll use the Free transport and book a fireworks cruise or something with the $$$ I saved.

Do you have any details on the Disney shuttles? Like how often the will be running, where you pick them up, do they go to all resorts or just selected ones like the "on property" buses? My impatience may be showing, but I'd hate to have to wait at the airport for a long time for a shuttle that would then have 15 stops prior to taking us to the WL. :brick:

Thanks wannabeBelle! You are always ready to answer my questions and it is very much appreciated! :sohappy:

Right Belle! And beisdes the Shuttle, resort guests will be able to bypass the Baggage Claim area also.

Your bags will be specially tagged @ your departure airport, and picked up and placed in your room for you!

Disney's Magical Express must be booked at least 10 days prior to arrival through disneyworld.com, Disney Reservation Center by calling 407-W-DISNEY or a travel agent beginning Jan. 2, 2005. The service commences May 5, 2005.

Remember though, it is only a very select few airlines that are participating in Magical Express.

I probably would like a limo as well but you are right with the money saved book a fireworks cruise or something!!! As far as any of the details as of now we dont have much. I can tell you it is only for on property guests so you must be staying at a Disney resort to take advantage of this service. there was another thread on this as soon as I get home Ill dig up the link which had a bit more info. However as the system is not in place yet a lot of it is speculation!!! The ability to print boarding passes and pre-register your luggage is limited to a few airlines but the ability to use the transfer service will be open to all regardlesss of what airline was flown. Hope this helps!!! Belle
