Airport question

If we fly from New England to CA specifically to go to Disneyland, what would be the most convenient airport to fly into?

We flew into the John Wayne Airport. It's only about a 20 minute ride from the airport to the Disneyland hotels. You can arrange in advance for shuttle service if you do not rent a car.

I flew into Ontario.

It was the longest car ride to the hotel of my life...but I think that was more the topic of conversation...
It was probably about 30-40 minutes away from Harbour Blvd.

SNA is the closest and most convenient to DL... however, I don't think there are any nonstop flights from BOS to SNA, and that's a big thing for me. I always go nonstop into LAX.

YEP! I was just there again in September.

We always use SNA (JOHN WAYNE) too, and it's a great airport to get into and out of quickly!

Be sure to eat before you get there, though, as the food pickin's are pretty slim.

The speedy check-in and security gates are a nice change from the larger airports!

Bummer..now I wish I was going back, too! :lol:

If you can fly into John Wayne Airport, do it. When we went in June, it was so convenient. Ontario...might also be okay, Long Beach would be another good alternative.

Check with your airline to see where they fly into.

We plan to fly with Southwest because we'll have 2 free tickets from them :sohappy: , so I checked and they do fly into SNA. Did anyone rent a car there, and would you recommend any company in particular?

SuperShuttle is the service to use. They are right outside the luggage area and have always been good for us.

The best part is you can book and pay right on line before you get there! Just go to their website.

TIP: If you have 4 or more people in your party, you can book a "PRIVATE" van, which, for only $7 more will take ONLY your party directly to and from your Hotel! Nobody else...no extra stops! It's well worth it!

I would definately use SuperShuttle. They charge $10 one way per person from SNA. I don't know what a car rental is going to run you or whether you'll have to pay for parking at your hotel, but if your plans are only to visit the DL resort, then you won't need a car rental.

SNA is very convenient to DL and is definately the way to go.

We used SuperShuttle, and thought it would have been easier to use a taxi. The van was cramped, the driver said nothing but the cost, and was really a bit of a maroon.
