Airline question

Normally, we book our air directly with the airlines when we fly. This trip, we booked the air through WDTC. Although it lists the flights on our itenerary documents, it doesn't give any kind of confirmation number for the airline.

I always check in and print boarding passes online, but I need a confirmation number in order to do that. Will I be sent one later, or will we have to check in at the airport? The info we got so far just says to show ID at the airport. We are flying on Airtran if that matters. Thanks

good luck. we did this for our last trip (now we don't usually fly, we usually drive so we aren't the up to speed on the whole flying procedures anyways) ... anyways, we didn't get a confirmation either... well we got something, but when we put it into the online booking system it didn't work and we were told to call airtran and i didn't get anywhere with them on the phone. well, needless to say, we got to the airport early were the first ones in the terminal, and were told that we didn't have boarding passes and that we would be bumped from the flight (unless someone else gave up their seats... which of course no one took that offer).

airtran was so terrible... the same thing almost happened to us on our way back home... i was sure that time to be persistent on the phone with airtran because i didn't want to get bumped again... well they had told me that there were only 2 seats left on that return flight and in order for us to be guaranteed those seats we would have to pay $25 for each of them! what bologna! i paid it, cause i needed to be on that flight home... but come on... airtran was terrible, i don't know if all airlines are like that, but it was not a good experience for us.

i also found that by booking through WDW travel, that i paid more than if i would have booked airtran on my own... if i would have found an online deal.

I normally book airfare directly with the airlines, but this time I did it through Disney to take advantage of the 6 months 0% interest on my Disney Visa. The price Disney gave me was the same I could get direct from Airtran.

We've flown with Airtran before, and never had problems. I do want to get our boarding passes printed as early as possible to avoid the problem you had. Plus since we are travelling with children, I'd like to be able to make sure our seats are together.

Anyone else have any thoughts on this?

Last time we booked our flight with Disney was in 2007, so this could have changed, but I don't believe you can do online check-in with the airline b/c Disney sends you a paper ticket. Agin this could have changed but we were not able to.

And as far as having seats together, I had no problem I just made sure that when I checked in at the airport counter that I reiterated the fact that I was traveling with a child. Good Luck!
