what is the nicest, the strangest, and the most horrible food you have ever had on an aeroplane? Heres mine.....

Best - Cod with saffron sauce :slurp: :slurp: mmmmmmmm.... It was on South African Airways

Worst- These ravioli (sp?) things on this flight to lanzerote. eeeugh! :hurl:

Strangest- (this was for breakfast) - Crossaint, filled with chicken tikka (i chose something else, lol), it was on Emirates, to sri lanka. I still cant believe that. I mean........crossiants & chicken tikka.....

Ehh all I've evr had are those little sandwiches in boxes...and they're damn good. :)

Once I was in first class and they served shrimp...I don't eat shrimp though.

When I was returning from Japan, American Airlines served us sushi with our meal. Even though I had been eating sushi non-stop for the past three weeks I couldn't bring up the courage to eat airplane sushi.

The curried rice was quite good though.

I wouldn't say I've had anything very good, and I wouldn't say I've had anything very bad. Airline food is just sort of. . .there.

I remember one time I was on a flight and I could hear the attendant coming down the aisle asking "Chicken or Fish". No matter what the person said he responded "Excellent Choice!". I thought that was really funny.

Wow... you must have been very impressed with the food to remember what they served you!

I´ve had many disgusting things on airplanes and many really good ones that you wish you could do seconds! :D I don´t remember any specifics though... it´s seems to always be some sort of lasagna or some rice with chicken cooked in some way. :animwink:

I can't remember many specific meals, but, as a general impression, it seems the European airlines do a better job than the US ones. I seem to remember getting pretty good meals on Air France and Lufthansa. I remember getting something that tasted pretty good on British Airways, but I spent half the flight in the bathroom (I think, if given the choice, I'd rather have something bland that doesn't send me running for the toilet. . .particularly when I'm on an airplane)

I seem to remember getting something that was pretty good on Australia's "other" airline (the one other than Quantas, but I can't remember the name), but I think I may have been in business class, so it may not be a fair comparison.

I'd be interested to hear which ones people think are best. I'll tell my boss we have to use them next time:animwink:

 Been there, done that. Anyone who hasn't done this yet, listen to Fievel and learn from his (and my) mistakes.

hehe.....the air pressure changing (popping ears + headache) in addition to a bit of turbulence is not a good combination.

Did you notice the "razor blade disposal" little slot in there? :animwink:

 Yeah, I never thought much of it before. I guess they don't have much need for those anymore.

Yeah, plus the "I'm sorry sir but you'll have to remain seated until the captain turns of the seatbelt sign" combined with the long bathroom lines . . .

All I get anymore are those bitty bags of pretzels.

I usually bring my own food- whatever looks good at the gift shop! I normally end up with a bag of that trail mix that has the M&Ms in it. :slurp:
