AIM 5.5 Supports Video!

There's a new version of AOL Instant Messenger. Version 5.5 pulls all of your buddy lists together (if you have more than one screen name), adds games, and has video support so you can see who you're chatting with. Scary, eh?

...something that yahoo and MSN was able to do all along..

I use trillian anyway..so yeah.

I refuse to use anything that has an ad on it...AIM isalso highly unstable..

Right now im on 37 AIM names (which..thanks to AIMS new IP sniffer..isnt easy)..4 yahoos..3 icqs...8 MSNs...and yeah..stable as hell thru trillian :D

I have a special buddy section just for my friend matthew because he has 10 or so aim screennames and i was having a hard time keeping them all straight

How in the world do you keep YOURSELF straight?? lol

So you have 37 screen names? Talk about multiple personalities... :D

I tried Trillian, but since I only have one screen name and everyone I know who uses IM uses AIM, I just went back to AIM. It's never crashed on me, but again I only have the one name.

One other feature that's pretty neat. You don't have to have that buddy list on the screen to see when buddies are coming and going. A little pop-up window shows up on the bottom right corner of your screen to let you know when people are coming and going.

I have dead-aim which i happened to nab when it was still free... now it costs 5 bucks
But anyways, it has little windows that come up to tell you when someone signs on
also TABBED IM's!! woohoo that means one window can hold ALL of my conversations
its very handy
and
it has an ad blocker... i dont see them but when they do that talking one i still hear the voices :lookaroun
