Respectfully disagree. Right now studios are trying to figure out ways to incorporate AI into voice acting, writing, and various production/post work. You’re correct in that AI won’t totally replace a human workforce, but there’s a possible future where a lot of people will lose work to it.
That is true, but some jobs will remain.

For instance, there is currently an AI tool on the market for screen reading. I use this because of eye strain when using a computer. It is a VAST improvement over the monotone screen readers; however, for audiobooks, it cannot replace the nuance that a human voice actor provides. It also pauses at odd intervals. I personally would not want to use it for reading novels, or even for reading non-fictions, simply because the emotion and spark that a human reader has cannot be recreated by a computer.

What I've personally seen in the accounting industry (my industry) is a great deal of panic over whether accountants can be replaced by AI, and accountants can't. AI can take over manual efforts, but nuanced decisions have to be made by humans.

It has its places where it’s quite useful. But it’s nowhere near at the point it needs to be to replace humans.

I think the biggest misconception by the public is that AI is replacing humans, and that is absolutely not the case.

My answer to both these comments is… not yet.

It wasn’t that long ago that robotics were limited to very simple tasks also and now they are extremely complicated and have replaced many human welders, forklift drivers, dock workers, factory workers, etc.

I’m afraid that’s the future of AI also, it’s currently fairly primitive but as it’s advanced and improved I think it’s going to replace a lot of human jobs.

Autonomous vehicles are another area that’s troubling, once they perfect that there’s going to be a lot of truck drivers, cab drivers, bus drivers, uber drivers, etc sitting on the unemployment line.

Progress always comes with pros and cons.

I disagree. This is sugar coating the subject of AI. Less humans will be needed and AI will replace them. Retail checkout use some sort of form of AI. I can’t recall when I had a pick of the litter of what lane to choose from when shopping at Target to find an available human cashier.

Autonomous vehicles are scary. My friend was driving to SC in his Tesla on I-95 and during some parts of his trip he tilted his seat back, took a nap while his car drove part of the way.
Horton the Fry Robot makes fries at Seuss Landing at Universal Orlando . Robotics is replacing some humans in the kitchen.

AI will be extremely helpful with visual effects. Just like the time saved between hand drawn animation to CGI, this will be similar.

You can already to crazy stuff easily with photoshop and adobe. You'll still need plenty of people to polish shape and build the effects, but the throughput and efficiency of those people will increase dramatically.
Forget even photoshop type stuff. I've played with Google Magic Eraser a few times. I removed a dozen or so people from a picture of the beach and a person standing by a monument at Gettysburg. Since I had the original and altered pictures I could tell what was "off" if I looked closely but if I did the same thing for a movie VFX shot, nobody watching would have known.

wait wait, whoever was the person with the awesome comment about a drunken bear singing remember me...how do we move forward with that? I would really like to implement that! sorry, but even though that is kind of harsh, may be kind of fun, just for adults though...
🤣
That already exists! It’s not AI as in Artificial Intelligence, but Al as in Albert- Big Al, that is. Go see the Country Bear Jamboree and you’ll see him!

We keep hearing how expensive VFX are in MCU/SW movies. Here's how to make them cheaper.

Disney's use of AI is pretty fascinating! It opens up new possibilities for storytelling, animation, and audience engagement. AI can help streamline production processes, enhance visual effects, and even personalize content recommendations. However, there are also concerns about creativity and job displacement. Balancing innovation with the human touch in storytelling is key.

The real fear/concern is that, at some point, AI will have the ability to include personalized, targeted, product placements and other messages/advertising in something you are watching. It's been described that different people will almost literally be living in different universes.

This was a test to see if anyone would realize that this was written by ChatGPT.

An AI very similar to the Supreme Intelligence on the planet Hala will be making all of the decisions at Disney going forward. For the good of all Kre-uh, WDW guests!
