Age restrictions?

I was reading about the height restrictions of certain rides and came across that they have age restrictions on certain rides as well. I have a daughter that will almost be 3 when we go and is more daring than her almost 5 year old brother. My question is do they actually ask how old your child is or for any proof they are over 3? She fits the height requirement for some rides but not the age requirement, and no I'm not going to try to get her on the ToT, I was more interested in the Barnstormer.

As far as I know, the Barnstormer only has a 35" height requirement. My son first rode it at about 2.5 years. He also rode BTMRR by the time he was 4 :)

Maelstrom has a minimum age of 3 years.
Tomorrowland Speedway says children under 12 months should not ride.
Shark Reef requires that children under 10 be accompanied.

As far as I know those are the only age-related restrictions. There are a number of rides that say they may be too intense for some children [and some adults].

Generally, I doubt they would ask, they might think she's a little young and point out the restriction.

Not sure when that was last updated, but from the Disney site:

The Barnstormer at Goofy's Wiseacre Farm
Adblock

Climb aboard Goofy's crop-duster for a ride around the cornfields. This kooky kid-friendly coaster is a kick! Take off from Goofy's barn, zip your way around a fun-filled course and see if you can make a landing without setting off those chickens!

I just looked at all of the rides mentioned on the WDWMagic page [except Body Wars - which doesn't exist anymore :lookaroun] and none of the "under 3 years old" restrictions exist anymore...

Perhaps Steve needs to update that page. :lookaroun

Well I'll go with the 35" then. If for some reason they ask she'll only be a month shy of 3 so no big deal if I lie a little. :lookarounThanks for the info!!

I think the age restriction is more of a 'recommendation' to give you an idea of the ride's content, speed etc. I can't see an age restriction being enforced.

We were just there in April, my daughter was 2 months short of 3. They never even asked. The sign at the time DID state 3 years old though.
