Age recommendations on mde/magic bands

My family will being staying off property in it next trip. Half of us have magic bands from previous on site stays. But we'll have a 4 yo and 2 yo with us. Should they have mde accounts separate from their parents? Is it necessary to do magic bands for that age? Is any of the storymaker features important if they were to do m&gs? Also, magicbands ate included in photo package, is that for the whole party?

Any advice would be great!

The one under 3 won't need one, since he/she won't have a park ticket, room access or charging privileges. But you'll want one for the 4-yo if possible. You can buy them on property and link them to your MDE accounts.

To further the above reply, the kids should be entered into MDE under one of the parents' accounts as a "managed by them" profile.

Creating a stand-alone account isn't an option , since the person on the account must be at least 13.
