Trip Report Again? Seriously?? Live-ish

Yup. Its only been 3 weeks and we’re headed back to the World.

3 weeks ago was our daughter’s 21st. Now, Princess weekend. @MeffysMom is doing 10k and half and me and my old man knees are just doing the 10k. Sadly, no daughter this time. She’s doing all the learning at college.

No previews, just reporting as it happens or as close to that as I can. Which means… welcome to BWI airport!

I’m not sure what on Earth tastes better than a Kilkenny at Raglan Road and I don’t think I want to.

Well… grey and drizzly morning. But all good!

Reading your report and thinking about doing a 10k myself one day.

just to catch you up on our morning… since early hours started, we’ve been here about two hours. We’ve done five attractions and about 15 minutes total time in queues.

Before attractions, we got a bunch of medal pictures in front of the castle. I’ll share some later!

Started with Pan. This was about 14 minutes of our queue time.

By the time we got off it was almost regular opening, so over to Haunted Mansion.

Almost on the first Doom Buggy of the morning.

Afraid all those scares, we had to ride Small World to get our joy back!! Thanks to some great tuba playing, our spirits were much raised (get it??).

Back to back slow boat rides led us to Pirates. This was our other one minute of queue time.

One more attraction for the morning! An old favorite.

As you can see, the rain has now gotten a bit heavier. Rather than get soaked, we made our way to Cosmic Rays for some early lunch.

And that’s where we sit now!

After lunch got a few last minutes of R&R at Town Hall (view from the rocking chair).

And now, after a quick change out of wet clothes in our minivan, we find ourselves drinking the saddest beers ever.

A far cry from the delightful drinks just about 17 hours ago.

It was a great little visit and we had a blast doing the races - very enjoyable all around. Now we start looking forward to a 'real' trip this summer for our daughter's graduation present!!

Flight was VERY bumpy, but otherwise fine.

I'm not sure what my live selfie game is, but glad it is on point and warrants a muppet GIF. Because, well... the Muppets.

Already starting in the planning for this summer. Our daughter has a few must-do's (sadly one of them was Jellyroll's) that we will be trying to make happen. And, there may be a little splurging at times!

The Dalkey Duo is something we get every time we visit Raglan Road!

This was our first time getting it and we really enjoyed it. Usually I get fish and chips and my wife gets a shepherd's pie, but since we had been doing small bites throughout the day, we stuck with that approach and were very glad we did!

It means you are really good at taking selfie's on the fly, in the moment, on the go!

Thanks! I was anti-selfie for a long time, but when we did the DVC selfie scavenger hunt a few years back that turned me on to taking them. Last year we did a 4 parks in one day challenge with some online friends (who could get the most attractions type thing) and did a ton of selfies with that - likely greatly improved and refined our talents!
