After Stitch, what's next for MK?

Fire Mountain (in adventure land)

Where? Good idea, but where would you put it? I can't imagine they would think of taking out Pirates, and I can't picture where they would have enough room over there for a ride like that. I thought they were terribly adamant about not having anything that visible from the lagoon.

After Everest, I'd hate to see MK's next attraction be a thrill ride. Perhaps something more like the scrapped Western River Adventure - i.e. a "Haunted Mansion" style attraction that proves WDI can capture spirit of decades past to continue a fresh new style of "E-Ticket."

Maybe because the MK hasn't recieved an E-ticket since 1995 in Alien Encounter. And since it's not here anymore the most recent E-ticket that's currently at the MK is Splash freakin Mountain. My gosh that was 1992. Sure the MK is the most popular park in America so It doesn't need as many new attractions, but it's been a long time. Let's hope a new E-ticket is on the way (sometime in my lifetime I hope  )

Well, if Alien Encounter was considered an "E-Ticket," then the next "E-Ticket" to show up in MK will be Stitch. I realize that Stitch is replacing a similar attraction, but it's still "new." It has a new title, new characters, new story, new music, etc.

I, for one, didn't ever really consider Alien Encounter to be an E-Ticket attraction. I liked it plenty, but it didn't have a whole lot of repeat value.

Could not agree with you more General.
Disney needs a return to these types of rides.

Good points! I agree with you!

I can say that plans are in the works for the 20K area...but, as far as I know, nothing is too "E-Ticket" about it.

IASW will have a rehab. . . and, from what I hear, no planned alteration for the Haunted Mansion.

'Haven't heard of anything else..

I've read (here and other sites) it's just going to be another stage.

Fire Mountain would extend out from the Seven Seas Lagoon. Tunnels under Jungle Cruise would access it.

I guess I'd consider SGE an E-ticket. But you also know what I mean by it sorta isn't because so much will the be the same. I see your point. I guess it should be labeled an E-ticket, but exactly the same way the mountains or AE was.

And I would definately consider AE an E-ticket because of the brand new technology used in it. Just because something is not a ride doesn't mean it can't be an E-ticket experience. And come on do you think WDW would make AE long shot glasses for something that wasn't an E-ticket?

I guess I'm in the minority here but I really don't see how alot of people think of AE (and SGE for that matter) as not having repeat value? I think it has (or had) the most repeat value of any show on Disney property because "stuff" actually happens to you. You aren't watching something like Beauty and the Beast or Indiana Jones where you just watch performers. I can see that it might not have the same repeat value as an actual ride to some people, but again AE (and SGE) is a show so it won't have the same type of repeat value as a ride. Even though I could see AE all day long and never get bored, I guess I could see how a non-die hard fan might think otherwise. But, again, do you honestly know of any other shows that have better repeat value (nightime spectaculars excluded :) )?

Ah, yeah, don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed Alien Encounter and never missed it during one of my yearly visits. I just wouldn't consider it on the same scale as these:

Splash Mountain
Space Mountain
Haunted Mansion
Pirates of the Caribbean
etc.

I'd consider something like Wishes and Illuminations to have better repeat value than AE, as well. They just have a much bigger "wow" factor, and also give a much more "Disney" and "magical" feeling for me. :)

And, BTW, Bill, TTA is open on E-Ride nights as well. Does that mean it's an E-Ticket? No. My favortie attraction? Yes.

Tunnel under Jungle Cruise....uh-uh.
Can't for various reasons.

The only way to squeeze Fire Mtn. into Adventureland would be to stick it at the end of Caribbean Plaza. It would be possible (but way expensive) to move some of the parade and entertainment facilities around back there, and put the Mountain next to the Pirates bldg. Unlikely though.

I for one would love Fire Mountain to come in, but that will probably never happen.

I'm sure that the next thing up for MK is a replacement of the 20K Lagoon. The rumors are a theater though, with a show. It could be used for so much more other than a theater, it could be used for an expansion of Toontown, which needs some type of attraction desperately. I would hate to see Mermaid Lagoon in the area. If we can't get a Toontown expansion, then we should get a new Fantasyland ride at least.
