i have a last minute question before we leave for WDW tomorrow. :xmas:

when epcot closes, is it worth it to head over to Boardwalk? what is over there? can you get to Boardwalk on foot from Epcot or do you need some type of transport?

it's just my wife and i, no kids, so we don't mind staying up late....

It is definitely worth a look. There are a number of shops and restaurants there as well as 2 night clubs and some stretmosphere style entertainment. You can walk there from World Showcase. Simply head out of the international gateway between England and France and follow the signs. The only down side is that you will more than likely need to take a cab back to your resort. Taking buses to DTD and back to your resort is possible but it takes forever (hour plus easy)

so is it really that bad to take a bus back to All Star Sports from Boardwalk? we wouldn't mind waiting up to an hour, but are you guaranteed a ride back to your resort?

The are no busses that run "inter-resort"

What you need to do is get a bus to Downtown Disney (they run late) and then when you get to Downtown Disney, get a bus back to All Start Sports

Of course if you are looking to do things at night, you could allways hit the Boardwalk for a bit (In my opinon it IS worth a visit) and then go to DTD and spend some time (and cash) there. Then go back to AS Sports

If that seems like too much work, or you end up staying late at the Boardwalk, a cab is going to run you less than $10

So yes, if DTD is open, you are going to get a ride. If you stay really late, guest services will be happy to call you a cab.

There isn't a bus directly from Boardwalk to All Star. If you were going to use the bus system, you'd have to take the bus to DTD from Boardwalk, and then wait for a bus to All-Star. If you don't mind waiting, then it's ok. But you have to make sure busses are still running to DTD, not too sure of their hours lately.

If you are at Boardwalk late into the night/early hours of the morning, it might be worth it just to pay for a cab. It will be a lot quicker than hopping busses.

As others have stated there are no inter-resort buses. The cab ride to the All Stars will be about $10 and take around 20 minutes max. Even if you do leave early enough to catch a bus to DTD and then another bus back to the All Stars you are looking at an hour and a half minimum in travel time, realistically it will be more like 2 hours. I have done both the bus and the cab and it will be a cold day in you know where before I ever do the bus again.

This is just my opinion but I don't like the area and find if your not eating in a restaraunt that there isn't much to do. I wished when they built it that they could have made it larger and had some classic BW rides like Wild Mouse, FunHouse or house oF mirrors and maybe a ferris wheel. These attractions would stay open as late as the rest if the BW and be free to guest that are staying in BW YC or BC hotels. Every one else could buy tickets if theywanted to ride like the BW here in Jersey.

I don't feel there is much to do but it is a very nice area to walk around at night time.
