How much are the treks and are they worth it?? I know morning or later afternoon best times but is it worth it?

I think it's still $189/person. Well worth it in my view.

is that the only trek you can do? is there cheaper safari option?

If you are staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, the Wanyama Safari Dinner is an option. It is my understanding that it is only for guests staying at the lodge though. I was quoted $170 per person for Wanyama. There is also a Sunrise Safari breakfast but it is only for those staying club level.

Some of the Disney aficionados here may have more input. I have only researched the Trek and Safari Dinner.
