Hi everyone, Just looking for a bit of advice….

I’ve booked to go back to WDW on the 29th August staying through until the 12th September this year, I have recently come back 3 weeks ago, but whilst we were there it was spring break, and also a cheerleading tournament, and at that time the parks were really busy, I also thought the weather was really hot but bearable.

Anybody know what the crowds are like and also what the weather is like?:lookaroun

Thanks a lot :)

Crowds will be a lot less [not empty parks, but significantly better than Spring Break] and weather a lot hotter, quite humid and a lot less bearable.

Plan to drink loads of water/fluids and take an afternoon break for a swim or rest at your resort.

It will be beastly hot, crowded, but still WDW, and, therefore, FUN! Wear appropriately cool clothing, drink PLENTY of water (not soft drinks, etc.) and go slow.

We have annual passes and are down there a lot and really enjoy the summer visits. Every trip to any of the parks is quite different from the others and we haven't hit a bummer yet - even in the rain, although being wet isn't much fun.

It will be very hot. Be sure and take advantage of early and evening extra magic hours because the weather will be a little more bearable at these times. There are also a lot of attractions that are much more enjoyable in the hot weather, (Think Kali and Ellen's energy adventure). The crowds should be better because most kids are back in school by then. :)

With Labor Day being on the 1st of September, the crowds will be fairly heavy as stated before. However, you should see the crowds begin to thin out dramatically on the 7th & you will pretty much be able to ride everything with virtually no waits for the rest of your trip. I have noticed that the week starting the Sunday after Labor Day usually has Very Light crowds. Expect frequent spotty showers as well. But, they are hardly ever that bad. ENJOY!!!

the past two years we have gone down and been there the last couple days of aug thru labor day...
the crowds were great. we managed to get on every "popular" ride with no wait. think the longest we waited was 5 mins at mission space.
if it does rain it is like one of those passing showers. and is usually over in like 1/2 hr.

Honestly - the weather will be miserably hot and most likely will rain daily. There is always the standard 2:00pm-4:00pm daily rain shower in Orlando during the summer, and as it is hurricane season here in FL during that time, it can be pretty wet. All that aside, you will have a great time, just be prepared. Disney is great - rain or shine!

We find rain to be a good thing. If it rains hard enough, people leave the parks and head to their resorts, DTD for shopping etc. Just hang out at the park and keep going. The rides lines are practically gone and that's even during the peak summer months.

I agree that it's the best to just hang around and enjoy the benefits! Rain in Orlando doesn't usually last that long, so catch a show and you're ready to go afterwards! Enjoy your trip.

I was there in March for Spring Break as well - and I was there last summer the same time you're going in August.

August is much much much hotter than March, even at night when you think it might cool off, it stays hot.

Crowds are wonderful in late August, horrible in March. You can't even compare them, it's like a different world.

Enjoy your trip! :)
