My wife and I are planning on taking the plunge and buying a vacation home near WDW. Our intent would be to look after the reservations ourselves (as opposed to having a comany rent it out for us), mostly because this is how we have rented. We figure since we got more for our buck renting from the owner, we would have better luck renting out our place that way too. What we would want from the property management company is someone to look after things on the ground - e.g., look after keys, get house cleaned, take care of maintenance as required. Is that a good strategy to follow?
More generally though, does anone have any advice on what to look for in a property management company? Or do you have any companies you would recommend (and if so, why do you think they are good)?
