Advice for AP expiration dilemma?

We will be arriving at WDW on May 19. Currently we have reservations at Swan. We really enjoy staying at AKL, but it just wasn't in the budget this year. Then they came out with AP discount codes, and I thought "Too bad my AP expires the day before we arrive." Then when I was going through some paperwork, I came across my AP and noticed that it expires on May 21!
Yikes! Two days after we arrive.

So, I know that if you make a reservation using the AP discount code, the CM will ask to see the AP at check-in. I also know that sometimes they don't. But, do they care that the AP expires during the dates your staying, or do they just make sure it's not expired at the time of check-in? Anyone know for sure?

Any reliable insight would be appreciated!

From what I understand all that is required is a valid AP on check in. You should be fine.

I've never even been asked for my AP at check-in. And if they asked you, as long as its valid at check-in, I don't see how they could penalize you.
