Advice for All Star Music

I just made my hotel reservations for my April trip with my wife and 17 year old daughter. Due to finances, we are staying at the All-Star Music. Wouldn’t be my first choice, but it’s either this or nothing.
My open ended question is what advice do the experts here have for me to make the most of the trip? Although they can’t guarantee anything, is there anywhere in the resort I should request as a preferred location? We plan on being at rope drop every day. No car so we will rely on Disney transportation.

Consider staying on the "Movies" side of the Music Resort. It can be much quieter than the Sports side, especially if there are any competitions going on in that week....those domestic tour groups are brutal.

Broadway BLDGs 7 and 8 or Jazz BLDG 9 will get you on the "Movies" side of the Resort. Parking on that side seems to be better as well.

We stayed at movies last april. Rooms were fine, walk was never bad and we were in the back. My suggestion to you is to find out when cheer events are and compare your dates. We were there last year during a cheer event and now refuse to stay at all stars during them. The teenagers were not supervised, cut in the line at busses, blasted their music over disneys at the pool, constant cheering and shouting and long waits for the bus (the days without cheer the bus was like any other resort). My boyfriend and I are in our late 20s and have no kids and we were very annoyed. I can only imagine parents of younger kids trying to take naps or enjoy the pool and hearing f bombs in the music blasting.

we stayed at movies back in october. haven’t been there since the remodeling. 1 thing i forgot about the resort is the walls seem pretty thin. depending on your neighbors, you’ll probably here more than you’ll want to. i would also request a room on the 3rd floor so u don’t hear walking above u.
