Hey everyone!!

My fiance and I are going to Disney World soon, and I was really hoping to squeeze a romantic dinner in for one of the nights we are there.

I want to surprise her with a beautiful restaurant, great food, and a relaxed romantic atmosphere.

Does anyone have any favorite places to take their sweetheart? (regardless of how expensive the restaurant is)

If you could please tell me the name of the restaurant, and the location of it, I would be so appreciative!!

Thanks!

Whispering Canyon!

Kidding!

LOL, Anyway my suggestion would be the Yachtsman Steakhouse. The atmosphere is wonderful and it's never TOO crowded or overwhelming. It's at the Yacht Club Resort :) Plus, the steak is AMAZING.

Most romantic for my partner and I --

Bistro de Paris in Epcot - make a 7:30 reservation and stay and watch Illuminations from their upstairs windows -- warning: it will run you upwards of $100 dollars per person. We find this to be absolutely most romantic restaurant at WDW on property.

Fulton Crab House down in Downtown Disney -- what can be more romantic than excellent seafood in a beautiful old paddleboat steamer? This will cost you about 75 dollars a person. AVOID between 5 and 8 pm when it positively crawling with families with children = NOT romantic.

Finally, there is Victoria & Alberts...but prepare to spend $200 per person and upwards, and make reservations at least two months in advance. It is not only THE hottest restaurant in Orlando, it is one of the 10 hottest restaurants in the USA right now. Warning: food is mediocre and absolutely not worth the money, but the ambiance is excellent.

Stay away from ANY of the other resort or park restaurants if you want a quiet romantic dinner without children running around the restaurant. We have tried almost all of them over the years and the three listed above are the only ones I would truly consider romantic adults-only restaurants.

  That cracked me up.

Anyway. The California Grill on top of the Contemporary would be another suggestion. Even if you don't catch a fireworks time, it's still really pretty up there at nite.

We went to Artist Point in the Wilderness Lodge for our 25th wedding anniversary dinner last week. It's always been one of our favorites.

However, we visited Citricos in the Grand Floridian later during the week and if I had a "do-over", I would have selected that location for our Anniversary! It was wonderful! The food was excellent, the service attentive without being intrusive and the pace of the meal was perfect! Courses were served only after we had finished the prior course and had abit of time for conversation between them.

The ambience and decorative style of the restaurant were perfect for a quiet romantic dinner!

I LOVED V&A's! I am a picky eater and DH is a food conissour (so he claims anyway lol) and we both loved it. It's very elegant and romantic. We had a table near the harpist. DH had the wine pairings with his meal and our check was $325, that was with a pretty hefty tip. They asked when we made the ressies if it was a special occasion and it was DH's birthday and our anniversary. The menues said Happy Aniversary with our names and the date and we recieved a chocolate card with well wishes written in gold. By the way, not many people think the platinum plan is worth it, but it includes V&A's now. I totally think it's worth the money. As far as V&A's go, the food is great and IMO totally worth the money. We'll be going back for our 12 anniv next year.

I will have to put in a vote for V&A's, I don't think it can be beaten for a romantic meal. I took my wife there for our 10th Anniversary and it was a fabulous evening. The food was first class and although its damned expensive I think it was well worth the money.

We also had the wine pairing with each course which pushes the price even higher but really good wines and they were paired perfectly with the dishes.

So dig deep and book V&A's

Any suggestions on a nice seafood restaurant that also offers other things such as just steak or chicken. My husband loves seafood and I dont. I want this to be a special trip for him.

Some great recommendations so far. As someone that does dining reservations for guests, here's my top 5 for those that ask for romantic resaurants:

1: Victoria and Albert's (if it's in their price range, no debate this is #1)

2: California Grill

3: Todd English's Blue Zoo

4. Bistro De Paris

5. Narcoossee's

romance

I'd go for Narcoosee's around the time of Wishes ask for window seats

or

Yachtsman anytime.

or California Grill.

Vicky and al's chef's table if you've got money to burn and don't mind hauling a sportcoat on vacation

Depending on the time of year you are going to WDW and if you are considering California Grill, aim to be there around 45 mins before sunset. We were lucky to be digging into our dessert (Souflee) around this time and just before the sun finally sunk over the horizon they lift the blinds on the West side and you get a beautiful view of the sunset and the sun going to bed for the night.

This felt very romantic.

When the ammo used in a "verbal fight" involves trodding out tired old clichés, such warnings lose their effect...

My recommendation for a nice romantic dinner would be Artist Point. A nice, peaceful setting, delicious food and impeccable service. It's one of our favourites!!!! :)

I've tried to get there twice but it hasn't worked out. What's it like?
