Adventurers Club

[Disney or Bust]

I've done searches but can't seem to get any good info on this place.

What exactly is this place like? Is it it a bar? Music? Dancing? Food? Show?

When is a good time to go? How long to stay?

Details would be great...thanks for any help.

I'm by no means an expert on the club, but I can tell you that it's mostly (hilarious) shows. There is no dancefloor or pounding music, just an excellent place to relax, drink and be silly. IMHO, the most 'Disney-esque' club in PI.

Just a great show! You are moving around going into different rooms and participating.

Well you just happen to be talking to an expert!!!!

I spend every night of every trip here and even got engaged in the salon! When you enter you will be on the first floor, go downstairs and wait for something to happen. Typically the cast members/actors play different "members" of the club (maid,president, pilot etc) they put on various skits and shows throughout the night and have a fair amount of audience participation.

No food but plenty of drink!

Anytime is a good time to go, shows happen from about 7.30 to 12.30.

You could take in just one show but if you stay all night you get a real feel for the place and the actors start making in-jokes refering to earlier in the night and it gets pretty hilarious!

If there is anything else just let me know!

Oh yes you will also get inducted as a new member and get taught the club song, creed and salute...............Kungaloosh!

Yeah, I once had a verbal sparring match with the Colonel (FREE DRINK COLONEL!) and had Yvette dust my....umm...unmentionables. Also, for fun, if you bring a spouse or loved one, belly-up to the bar and whisper to the tender to give that person a ride.... Hehehe

Also, if you have the energy after a long day in the world, definitely check out their last show, "Hoopla" (Everybody who's seen it, repeat after me HOOPLA!). Its' hilariously fun, drunk or sober.

Are you coming to our unofficial WDWMagic meet on the 26th or 27th Oct (we have quite worked out the exact date yet) at the AC?

AC is by far my favorite spot in Downtown Disney.
I even became an official member of the club last week. I got the official "member" pin and everything.

And Kungaloosh to you!! There is no safe place in the Adventurers Club. I was hiding in the corner and the masks on the wall came to life and started talking to me. i.e. demanding answers. Then a crowd forms and you can't get away... Its all great fun. Uh, another one of those drinks that comes with the free cantine, puhleez!

AC rocks! (looks @ his Yakoose mug on the shelf). Last time I was there I sat @ the bar and Samantha chatted with me during the opening of the show (see my photo album). And there was an incredibly funny skit with the statue and a giant Q-tip...

Hehe, I have two official Adventurer's Club Pins (earned em both, I'm not a stranger to abject humiliation). Not only that, but two other members of my family have earned em, too. (Okay, so I spend too much time at the AC)
