Adult ONLY late nights at Epcot

Believe me I agree with you...just saying if there is $$$ in it then it seems like they would sell Petey the dead parakeet to a blind kid (Dumb & Dumber reference...don't get offended folks!). The cash cow is going to get sore teats sooner or later!

Just when I think you couldn't possibly be any dumber.. You go and do something like this.. AND TOTALLY REDEEM YOURSELF!

You're right. And I guess if it's gonna happen anyway, might as well get all the personal enjoyment out of it that we can.

You know what would be awesome...If there was an adult island where they would have clubs with music, dinner, drinking and dancing all up until about 2am. Heck they should have some kind of comedy club and a cast of adventurous seekers from the past...OH! and why not have New Years every night...It would be such a Pleasure to see something like this....Then again I guy can dream can't he?

While adults only events sound heavenly, WDW will never do it for the single reason being sucking every living being inside their parks of Money, makes no difference if it is adults, children, or toddlers.
As to Food and WIne festival, that has become Epcot's biggest day guest event ever -- from its humble beginnings, it is now the most heavily attended special event that was designed for locals and actually works -- if you haven't been there on one of those days where 500 busses arrive carrying university kids from the frats and sororities, then you haven't really seen it in action. They aren't going to turn away a single local dollar for those events with an adults-only paid event which would bring in a teensy fraction of what they make on full tickets from the food and (heavy emphasis on Drink) crowd...Remember, those kinds of events were not designed for us in mind, they are designed with Florida locals in mind, to bring them in and suck them of their money -- they already have the resort guest money.

Yeah, but remember the "ah ha!" moment for Walt was when he decided he wanted to make a place that the parents and kids could go to have fun together. Like I said, I would love the idea. I would have a blast at something like this. But I just think Disney is straying way too far from the original vision.

Not so far actually. During the Nights at Disneyland special, there was not a single child seen. Walt wanted an adult atmosphere too. Thus Club 33. It may not have been economically feasible in his time, but I wouldn't say he wouldn't appreciate and adult only atmosphere. Especially since he did promote it himself on his own show.

This What Would Walt Do revisionist history has got to stop. The man had vision and ideals. They were not as constricted as lore now tells us.
