Adult Beverage Question

We are staying at the port Orleans riverside in a royal room. If one of us went down to the bar and got a few drinks would it be ok? I've tried googling this but haven't gotten any answers.

I'm from Nola...we have drive thru daiquiri places so you'll have to excuse my ignorance to liquor laws in other states.

you should be able to. i believe there is a two drink per person per id allowed. atleast that was what it was for beer. I drank mixed drinks right at the bar. it was just easier that way

I can confirm...2 drinks per ID. You might try bringing both IDs to the bar?

They typically sell bottled beer, and a small selection of wine and hard liquor in the gift shops. Beer prices at least are identical to what you would pay at the bar, no idea how the wine/booze compare. So you can definitely buy there and carry back to the room. Also shouldn't be a problem at the pool bar. The actual bar might look at you kinda funny if you walk off carrying to glass martini glasses, but should accommodate a request for plastic cups.

Lol. Good....once we get the little one down I plan on going many many times myself.

Also you can purchase alcohol buy by the bottle at the gift store in the main building. If you like bourbon, or other straight/non mixed drinks, it is a cheaper way to go. I purchased a bottle of Makers Mark for only 2 dollars more than a double shot cost at the bar.

My thought is if they really want to make this resort authentic let's have some good ole' fashion NOLA liquor rules!!
Which basically means little to no rules at all! ;)

I never it tried this when staying at either of the PO resorts but the 1 year we stayed at the Poly and I asked if we could take a few beers with us, the bartender asked us how many we wanted.. we said..
as much as we could carry....he obliged.
It was an excellent evening.

BTW - Geaux Saints!

Why not stroll over to the Hess station 5 mins walk from Planet Hollywood? It isn't very big, but they have a better choice of beer, wine, soda and snacks than the Disney shops at around a quarter of the price. No sure if they sell liquor though. We go a few times every holiday and keep in in the room fridge :)
