Hi all... I intentionally made all my ADR's for next week in early October...left no credit card information etc. So yesterday I got a reminder email from Disney that my first dinner was up and coming and below it states $10 for no show or less than 24 hrs....so I am curious if anyone has challenged this the past few months with a cancellation or lack thereof? How could they charge me if I didn't leave them information?!?! Not that I intend to cancel mind you...but thought I was clear in case my family changed minds midday.:lookaroun

My guess they have your package number or reservation number for your resort and would charge it to your room.....

I cancelled a 10/30 Yachtsman ADR while in the World and did not get charged a fee since I made the ADR before the 26th. My reminder email did have cancellation fee note in it but I didn't worry.

I think it's only for ADRs made after the 26th.

Since you made your ADR's before this new policy went into place they CANNOT charge your room or any credit card you may have on file.
When making ADR's after the policy, the CM's had to make it very clear what the charge was and you had to verbally agree to the charge.

I cancelled a reservation at Cape May for Dec 30th a few hours before. Because I made the reservation prior to the new policy, there was no charge. I couldn't cancel my reservation online for some reason, but as others have stated, they cannot charge you if you made the reservation prior to the new policy.

Thanks for the sharing of actual cancellations....that is what I assumed but good to know it is part of the email jargon going forward....now I wonder how in the future it will affect the decision on day 5 of your trip to eat dinner that day at an ADR restaurant....if the new policy will make it actually easier to get an ADR same day.....: :animwink: Sure hope so...
