ADRs for California Grill - am I doing something wrong?

Hi everyone!

I am looking to make a reservation for California Grill on May 15th; I logged on this morning when reservations opened at 5:45am ET (I am in the UK so the time was a little friendlier for me), and received the following message:

"We were unable to check for available tables at this time. A problem may have occurred while looking for availability. Please ensure if you have a valid resort reservation, it is linked to your My Disney Experience account and try again." - I wasn't aware that a resort reservation was required, or am I wrong?

I also tried the Disney app, and received the message "Please try again - we're having trouble loading this screen".

Wondering if I am doing something wrong, any insights anyone may have would be really appreciated - thank you!

I'm seeing times available for Cali grill on 15 May for dinner. The system might have been down when you looked.

Thanks both - I was able to get a reso in the end as a couple of slots showed up; wasn't quite at the time I wanted but better than nothing. Thanks again! :D

Don't use the app, use the website for making ADRs out this far. Also don't get discouraged when the initial allotment of ADRs goes. You will find that a week out a lot more availability opens up, then a day or two out even more availability opens. Disney uses FOMO to force people into using their garbage reservation system. If you have even a little bit of flexibility in your plans you can probably find 95% of your go to reservations a couple of days out.

If you have FOMO, and can't find what you want book a second or third choice as a fallback, then look in earnest a day or two before and update your plans accordingly.

I've found hard to get ones like Oga's, California Grill, Sci-Fi, Citricos, Narcooses, Topolinos, Boma, Ohana, etc a day out and updated my reservations.
