ADR at Rainforest Cafe

I have just phoned to make ADR at the Rainforest Cafe at Downtown Disney.

First I was told that there was no Rainforest Cafe at DTD !!!!!! then when I said that there was I was given a ressie for Wolfgang Pucks which I didn't want.

Finally I was told that you cannot make Adr for Rainforest at DTD, only AK.

Is this correct?

Its still in DTD, but they don't accept ADR's and I didn't know that the one at DAK accepted them either.

We usually choose not to eat there anymore because the food, in our opinion, doesn't warrant the wait or price. We would rather head over to Boma at the AKL. :slurp:

I ate dinner at the RFC at DTD on 2/9/8 so I can say with some certainty that it is still there but as stated before they do not take ADR's at that location. They do however take them at the one at the entrance to AK. If you want to dine there I would go to the one at AK as the wait frequently exceeds 2 hours at the one at DTD.

Did you try calling the RC directly.

Disney does not own the Rainforest Cafe. So you cannot make reservations through Disney. You will either have to call them directly or walk up and put your name on the list. This is also true of Wolfgang Pucks and Bongos. So yes they were correct when then told you they cannot make reservations for those places.

I was able to make ressie's for Wolfgang Puck's with Disney last year, has that changed.

I was there over Christmas and was not able to make reservations. But the CM I was talking to was not very competent, she told me that I was not allowed to. But the best thing to do would be to call and ask and if Disney tells you no, then just call the restaurant directly.

Is it just me or does it seem like the ARD policies of DTD change almost weekly? I know when Raglan Rd first opened you could do ADR's through Disney and now you can't. I seem to remember a few of the other's going back and forth as well.

This is incorrect, unless it has changed from last year.

We made ADR's through Disney to Rainforest AK and also to Puck's. No problem.
They did tell me that Rainforest wasn't on the dining plan, which I knew, but they still made the ADR.

Would not go back to Puck's again. Okay, but overhyped.
Whatever people say about Rainforest, it was our best and most enjoyable meal of the trip! Despite the fact that it was the only one we paid cash for!

You can make reservations at The Rainforest at DTD you just need to call The Rainforest directly.

I do it every time I go and I love eating there..Never had a problem with service or the food..:)

Ditto MaggieGrace...a lot of people have issues because it's "typical American food" and "nothing exotic." The little cousins we're going with will LOVE the atmosphere, and the prices are exactly the same as a TGIFriday's or Applebee's. Sometimes plain American food is just what I'm looking for :) We just call the restaurant to make reservations. Good luck!
