Additional Passholder Fantasyland Previews

Maybe I'm a bit biased since I am not a pass holder, but at this point why even bother. People have already been given the chance to see New Fantasyland, so it's not like they can make the claim "be the first to see the area". Why not open it up and call it a day? I realize that AP holders deserve perks, but it seems like this whole process is a waste of time. I'm sure I am wrong about this for some reason or another, but that's how it looks to me.

We'll be there the 10th-17th, was hoping to sneak a peek but I'm not an AP holder, and I'll be fine if I can't see it. I'm more concerned now with wondering if this AP previews all week will increase crowds in the park much. Not sure how many people they're bringing in for each tour, but I figure everyone will stay in the park for the day after seeing the new stuff.

The new "Sweepstakes" let me enter even after I already registered. So I guess this is not just for passholders that did not get a chance to enter. Nice they are allowing everyone to enter since many, myself included, had registration confirmation issues!

Well there was a soft opening last night for all MK guests last night. We got to experience Ariel's Grotto which was very nice. The queue is redicously long but nice. The attraction was beer nice itself. We got to preview the Be Our Guest Restaurant and it was amazing too.

Hopefully, they keep doing this. It would give everyone who wants to see it a chance, but still preserve the special experience for those who qualify for previews.

Fingers crossed.

I've seen it open on non-party nights, too. About ten days ago...I don't know the exact date, but could check whenever I get home, if anyone really cares.

It is kind of amusing that they had the employee and AP previews after the thing had been open to the public, lol.

But BOG wasn't serving food to the public and did serve to employees. :) Maybe it will open up for new previews? I hope so, for those people.

In any event, the thing will be totally open very soon. Nobody will have to wonder or hope or anything. It will just be open to everyone, all the time...and we can discuss it on the regular section of the boards. :D

Exactly! That should make everyone happy! Why did they think this would be a good idea?!

It was a selling point for AP's in 2011-2012. Disney just did not anticipate that many AP holders taking advantage of the perk. The backlash is Vacation Planners used this preview ploy to convince guests to purchase an annual pass. When the time slots became extremely limited unlike originally presented by the vacation planners the new AP holders balked and claimed bait and switch because they were not told they would have a chance at a preview. More the Vacation Planners presented they would be able to attend the preview because they were AP holders. I'd be ticked too. I'm certain that is why they added more preview dates for the AP holders.

So are there anyways to register for the passholder previews still?
No, it's done.

The sweepstakes entry period is now closed for the New Fantasyland Preview for Passholders. Those who are randomly selected will receive a follow-up email from the Walt Disney World Passholder Program on or around November 2, 2012. Once again, thank you for being a Passholder and we look forward to hosting you back here at the Walt Disney World Resort soon!
But seeing as the area opens for everyone on November 19th, there's really no time to do additional AP dates.

Thanks, I wasn't aware that the additional AP dates where just the sweepstakes. I was probably going to go to MK Thrusday, and I wanted to check out the area again, Lol.

I also got the 9:30 p.m. to 1 a.m timeslot! So this means if I am at MK since I already have a ticket, being an AP holder, I will have to take monorail over to TTC to do the sign up there and get the voucher. That's really bad, considering the timeslot of 9:30 p.m. Does anyone know if Be Our Guest will be open? We got to see it on the "dress rehearsal" date of 10/13 and 10/14 but dining not open yet.
