Adding park days to a package

Let's say I want to book a vacation package (room + park tickets) and my stay is for 9 evenings, but I only book 5 days in the park for tickets. At any point prior to arrival or during my stay, could I add on an extra day in the parks? We will have a few down days of no parks, but I'm just wondering if we change our minds and want to go to a park, if there is any point where it is too late to add it to the package. Would that 45 day mark play into this calculation?

You can do the ticket upgrade before the trip starts, or after you arrive. The only rules after you arrive are
  • you do the upgrade within 14 days of first use of the ticket
  • you have at least one unused day left on the ticket

That's good to know. Thank you. We have other things planned on our down days, but I just wanted to know if this was an option in case we felt like squeezing in a few hours at one of the parks on one of our "relaxing" days. I know the upgrade from 5 days to 6 days really isn't that much more money, but I just didn't know if it was even possible after the vacation was paid for.

Where would you upgrade, at your resort hotel or at a park?

I have a follow-up question: let's say you have a 7 day trip with 5 day tickets, not park hopper, and you get the water park and more option. If you use the 5 days of park tickets first, but only go to the water parks 3 times during that 5 days, can you use the other 2 water park days the last 2 days of the trip or are the water park days only able to be used while the park days are available?

You have 14 days from first use to use the tickets.
