Adding No Expiration

We are going to be down there for October this year and right now the 5 day tickets are cheaper thru Tickets at Work than a 4 day is directly through Disney.

My problem is, we are planning on driving the 2nd half on saturday and checking in. We may go to a park that day, we may not. If we dont, could we add the No Expiration to the last final unused days ticket? Or would be the price of the full five day ticket? Even if just one days remaining?

Thanx in advance!

well that sucks!
Yep so you need to use that day within 14 days from first use of your tickets or you will lose it. No expiration option was fairly expensive when offered anyway. If only needing to save 1 ticket day it wouldn't of been really worth it. ;)

Also look at 5 day direct prices vs. TAW 5 day. I have TAW and the price is usually pretty close. Usually only a slight savings. Of course TAW is cheaper for 5 days vs 4 days direct because Disney the more days you buy are cheaper each day you add. So compare 5-5 with each. ;)

5 day direct through Disney is $362.10
Base ticket including tax already.
5 day hopper direct is $435.59 tax already included.

4 day direct non hopper $346.13
4 day hopper direct $419

As you can see TAW total for 5 day hopper is only $20 cheaper than direct 5 day and $5 cheaper than direct 4 day.
So yes it's cheaper but if your going to lose a day it's a wash by not using it. ;)

I had forgot it went by how many days your initial tickets were for. This was the last chart I could find before it was discontinued that was how much it cost by how many days your tickets were for to add the No Expration option. So for the 5 day ticket you would of had to pay $170 to add the NE option to your tickets which is more than a 1 day ticket cost. :)

Sorry my responses were kind of scattered to say the least! Lol. I would respond then I was like oh shoot i forgot something. (Again working and playing on here don't mix well haha! ) Hope this helped somehow regardless.
And off topic saw you were in New Orleans etc and I'm in Lafayette. Small world. We try to visit New Orleans as often as possible. ;)

Due to an illness, my mother in law may not be able to join us for a trip that begins in 9 days. We all purchased 5-day tickets but if she doesn't use hers, will she be able to save them for a trip in the future?

Also, are her tickets activated once we visit the first park because we are shared "Family and Friends on My Disney Experience"?

No if she never uses her tickets she can save them for a later trip. If y'all use yours it has no bearing on hers. Her 5 day ticket being its never first used can be used on a later visit. ;)

Well we are only planning on going 4 days. But if its the same price or cheaper to get the 5 day thru TAW, then we may into one of the parks for the evening we get there. We are driving up from NOLA, half friday and half Saturday so if we check into AKL early and go to one of the parks then it makes sense. But if we are tired or wanna do the Springs that afternoon, then its basically a wasted days ticket.

Six 4 day Hoppers direct from Disney is 2518
Six 5 day Hoppers thru TAW is 2484
Six 4 day Hoppers thru UT is 2345

So basically we just gotta decide if the extra 34 bucks is worth getting an extra half day even if we decide not to use it.

Or one of the nights we are doing Universals Halloween Horror, which as a chicken - I have NO desire to do. Even as a Walking Dead fan, I dont want to do haunted houses. So maybe I will use that extra days ticket to skip the HHN at Uni.

For $34 dollars I would get the extra day, if you don't end up using it then you aren't out much money.

For $34 bucks extra total yes it's worth it! Especially for a short trip like that I want as much time at the parks as possible. ;)

Yeah, we wanted to be there for a whole week, but the DVC wasnt available for the full week. So we are doing saturday to friday :(

You couldn't of added a day or 2 at another DVC resort and do a switch for those days to do a split stay? We are DVC ourselves and sometimes add a few days at the beginning or end at a different resort. It's an option. ;)

It just didnt seem like it was worth it to move six people for one day. I know my 65 year old dad would not have gone for that at all. So we are gonna drive up half way friday instead of the whole way on saturday. That way we will at least get the afternoon and evening.

I'm using the last of my non expiring tickets this year :(

Same! It's such a bummer. I only go once a year, if that, so an annual pass has never made sense for me. I bought a 10-day park hopper No exp through AAA and got three different trips out of it over the course of three years. Using my last two days in December then it's time to start budgeting tickets back into my trip planning again
