Adding My 1995 Hopper Days to My 2005 Magic My Way Tickets

My wife and I still have 2 days left from our 1995 Hopper Tickets we used on our honeymoon. We are buying a 10 day Magic My Way tickets for our upcoming 2 week vacation with everything but the no expiration feature. We are going to decide when we get near the end of our vacation if we want to upgrade our leftover days to no expiration. My question is can they take whatever days we have left from this years 10 day pass and add my 1995 pass days (2) to make one pass?

Example would be that we would have 3 days left at the end of this years trip on our 2005 pass + turn in our 1995 paper hopper pass which has 2 days left = a new pass with 5 no expiration days after paying this years upgrade to no expire which would be $100 each.

Hope that is not too confusing - and what if we have 1 or 2 plus days left from this years pass - can we keep them after paying for the no expire upgrade?

Thanks for your help - we have only 31 days until we leave! :)

Unfortunetly, you cannot combine two passes to create one pass.

Remember, any upgrades to the MYW tickets must be done within 14 days of first use, even if they do have the no-expire option. Adding the no-expire option will save both park tickets, as well as Magic Plus Pack features.

Guest Relations or Guest Services at the hotels can convert your old tickets to monetary value equivilent to the remaining days left at their 1995 purchase price. This credit can then be applied to purchasing new tickets.

If you plan on doing this have patience, it is time consuming and the steps are difficult for the CM. Besides the difficulty I always liked seeing all the old ticket media. :)

Why not just use up the days you have on the '95 park hopper first, then you can add no expire to whatever you have left on your MYW tickets?

Because if they use up all of their MYW passes..they don't need to pay the NO EXPIRE price...and they'll still have the non expiring hopper days leftover from their honeymoon.... Depends on how many MYW days/options they purchased...as they were there for a 15 day trip...so they very well might use them up....

Does this mean I can buy a 10-day pass, go for my planned 5 days, and before I leave, upgrade the remaining 5 days to no expiration?

By converting the tickets to monetary value you will lose money, since the tickets in '95 were much less expensive. I know this has been discussed in another thread, you might want to do a seach of the forum. If I recall correctly they advise just taking the tickets and having them converted into a one day hopper pass for each of you which you can use anytime.

Just clarifying here. Am I missing something?

We have the same thing, except from 1992, with no expiration(and it was after our honeymoon:)).
Whether they have one or two days each, doesn't it mean they are automatically hopper passes? Why convert them until you need to walk in the park again?
Our MYW passes w/ meals at the resort for our upcoming trip are such a good deal, it would be a waste to use them at this point, as they are good for our entire stay until we get back on Magical Express to the airport.
If I have a business trip in the area within a few hours drive, I'll just spend the $$ on my cheap business hotel ( or have extra "business")and park hop for one day or two sometime in the future.

I've been wondering something similiar--I have one day left on an old hopper pass of my daughter's. She was a child then, and is no longer a child (by Disney's standards.) Can she still use this as it is or does it have to be converted to a newer type ticket monetarily?

Guest Relations/Services will convert it to an adult ticket free of charge, 1 for 1.

I wouldn't convert old tickets and monetarily add them to existing tickets. You loose the value. Guest Relations/Services will convert any old tickets to new ones without loosing any value. EG: You have 3 days left of an old 4 day parkhopper (the kind you had to hand punch on entry). You can convert these 3 days to a 3 day parkhopper without expiration. Basically, you get the same ticket, just on the current media (magnetic strip).

This thread also touches on a question I have. I am visiting in late september and because of reading other threads, want to make sure I see AK during extra magic hours. I have Hopper passes from just before MYW's came out last year, and I am staying on property. Will my hopper passes and resort passes get me in to Extra magic hours?

Yes you can, you will pay the full price for the no expiration option (~$100 for the 10 day ticket). I did the same back in June, it will take several minutes of time to have the CM make the change. If you only have one or two days left, it might not be worth the cost, but three or more could be worth it.

Yes. You can use any valid ticket to get into the park. For EMH you need your resort pass. You should be fine.

In July, I had a 4 day hopper and wanted a 6 day MYW. IF YOU ARE STAYING AT POR DO NOT GO TO CONCIERGE FOR CHANGES!!! (See thread on "CMs: The Good, The Bad, and The one we do not speak of")I would recommend taking your tickets to Epcot guest relations outside the gate, they are wonderful and it's worth the effort to go there.

Frankly, I got different answers everywhere I went. I'd just go from place to place asking what you can do. You'll get different answers, so go where you get the best deal. I kid you not, when I changed my 4 day hopper to a 6 day MYW, I was charged $11.78 at Epcot G/R for the extra 2 days!!!!!

Good luck.

So upgrading the remaining days to no expiration isn't any cheaper than originally buying the 10 day pass as no expiration. I was thinking you'd only pay to upgrade the remaining days. Thanks for the clarification!
