Adding Genie+

I feel like a dope asking this, but I can't seem to find any answers. I want to add Genie+ do all days of my upcoming trip. Everything I've found says that I need to add them as an option to a ticket, but it doesn't say exactly how I do that. I have access to the website and the app. Please help, and thanks!

If you have access to Modify a Package, scroll down from the number of days, past the PH/PH+ options, and there is a section that lets you add Genie+ with whatever other options. If you don't have that, I'd call to add it.

I added it to mine by going to the home page on the app where it says "my day" and changing the date to the first day of my ticket. Then I scrolled down to a purple box that said add Genie+ and it let me modify the ticket to include it every day. We bought it for every day because it was just the two of us and I was experimenting with it for an upcoming family vacation in April. I wouldn't do it again though - I would add it each day as needed since it doesn't sell out. If you have to be up at 7 anyway, might as well make it 6:55 to buy Genie+ as needed.

We called the day it opened to have it added and took 2 days for the tickets to show up correctly on the website and app.

I'm almost there. I've done everything you suggested, but then I get a page with a purple button that won't push.

I don't know enough about technology to explain that one; maybe someone else would have a suggestion. I would tell you to call, but we just got back from Disney and tried to call for things like renting a Polar Patio or cancelling a same-day reservation and the estimated wait times were "over two hours."

I've been calling, and have spent many hours on hold. I finally got through to a live person today, who told me that adding Genie+ in advance is not an option for an AP, nor is adding it for my entire trip. I'll have to add it on each day, which is no great hardship.

He also answered the other question I had. I purchased my AP in September, and everything in the app said my AP expires in September of 2022. Now, as you all know, in the past your AP would expire 1 year from first usage, not from the day you purchased. He confirmed that this was still the case, and the app showing September 2022 as my expiration was actually the expiration of the voucher. So if he knew his stuff, then I'm all set. Thanks for the help, my friends!

Right, that’s true. If you mentioned that you had an AP I must have missed it. We’ll get AP’s before our next visit so I’ll also be adding it on each day. That’s probably what we should have done on this past trip because we didn’t need it every day.
