Ok so here it is, my Honeymoon/After Christmas vacation with my soon to be hubby! (We had already palnned on marrying in October when I booked the trip in September, but had to put the wedding off til this summer, and so we took our pre-wedding honeymoon, seeing we wont be able to go a "real" honeymoon post wedding... breathe....)
12/26-12/31
Day 1:
We got up bright and early (ok, dark and early) at 3am Wed morning. Left for the airport and headed out of Manch Vegas at aprox. 6am. We landed in Orlando at 10:50 after a short stop in Washington. Our flight was great, no delays, and no screaming kids... so far so good! When we arrived we checked in at the wonderful Magical express desk, with no wait at all, and as we were heading into our line, we walked right out and onto the bus, as our line was boarding right as we approached! again... doing good! We made one stop at Pop before our resort, got to the beautiful Coronado Springs at about 12:30. We had about a 5 minute wait at check in, and when we got to the desk, we were informed our room was ready! imagine that??!!! Thrilled that we could actually stop by our room to unload some of our carry ons, we got right over to our room in Ranchos 6A, which we had requested.
here's hubby in our room:
After a quick change into my bathing suit we headed to the pool, and were met at the pool bar by our favorite CM/bar tender ever Max! Boy were we glad to see him! We had a few drinks, and then "hubby" had a few too many drinks... We went to the room, hubby passed out, and I went out for the rest of the evening by myself. I went back to see max, had a few drinks, got some dinner at the Pepper market, and then headed to the room. I got to watch The Princess Diaries on Disney Channel for the night, and got to bed about 10:30. So, a pretty uneventful 1st day, but everything was looking good, and I couldn't until my first day at the parks!
Day 2:
We were up at 6am, we got dressed and went for breakfast at pepper market. We had the usual... a shared serving of bisuits and gravy and a side of eggs, plenty for us both and for only about 7-8 bucks! Any way, first park we hit was Magic Kingdom, we arrived at about 8:15, and they had EMH that morning since 7, so I figured it would be packed. To my surprise it was still very, very UN-crowded! (is that a word??) anyway... This was the coolest morning, at about 65 at 8, but by 10 was in the 80's. We got to ride Splash mountain, Thunder mountian (2X's), Haunted Mansion (2X's), Pirates (3X's), and Snow White all before 10am... yea... thats how short all the lines were! right about 10 it started getting pretty busy, and we decided to head to Epcot, to try and get a fass pass for either soarin or Test Track, by the time we got to Soarin, the passes were gone, so back over to Test track, we got a 5:30 FP time so we headed back to the resort to eat lunch and then nap. I woke about 2ish and headed to the pool bar, hubby slept longer. At about 4ish I went back to the room, and had to wake up hubby... he can sleep ALOT! We headed back to Epcot and rode TT, it was great as always, we also rode on the Land, the line was only about 10 minutes, and we wanted to get some more rides in before dinner.
here are a few pics from that night:
We ate in mexico at the counter service place, and then started to scope out a good viewing place for the fireworks show. We walked around WS for a while, and at about 7:30 sat on the bridge by the international gateway. We had an awesome time watching the show, and afterwards hung around and rode Malestrom, and then SSE, I liked SSE, I thought it was good overall, some parts being great, and some being soso/not good... what I didnt like was that we got our pic taken, but in the little video thing our faces werent there, just cartoons with our features, kind of... (my girl had short black hair, but I just had my hair up in a ponytail...)
after SSE we headed back to Coronado at about 11ish. We got right to bed knowing we would be up early the next morning.
Day 3 to come later... gotta get to bed! hope everyone enjoys it so far!
