Accommodating a family of 5 on ship?

Another question is better to get a room to accommodate 5 or get two connecting rooms. Do connecting rooms sellout quick?

On the classic ships, yes, they sell out quickly. There just aren't very many of them. There are more on the newer ships, but they're still very popular.

I found the rooms for 5 a great size, but two rooms has the benefit of two bathrooms. Two rooms can also be cheaper depending on certain factors. :)

You can book a Royal suite on Magic and Wonder and a two bedroom suite which can accommodate five, sometimes you can't book this online and have to call DCL. Re connecting rooms as well as larger families liking them, small families or adult only cruisers tend to avoid them as they feel there maybe a noise issue.

We opted for two connecting rooms (two adults, three sons - 13,15,17). There was significantly more square footage than with one large room. Plus, we had the room steward fold back the barrier between our verandahs to create one large verandah. The boys each got their own bed in their room, too.
