Congrats on Operations (ops) you could do any NUMBER of different things. I was Operations when I did my CP and I got stationed at downtown disney PI, DisneyQuest and Cirque Du Soleil selling tickets!! It was a blast (PI gets annoying after a while...but what can ya do??)

Congrats on getting accepted, if you have been..:sohappy: If you haven't heard yet, I hope you do soon. I am a new member to this site. (I just signed up) I was accepted last weekend to the Career Start Program to work from February-August. I am working in Merchandise. Any advice?

What exactly do you do when you first arrive. For instance, how do they decide where you work for like merchandising and who you live with, etc. Also, can you ship things ahead of time?

On your second day, I think, you find out what area you'll be working in. Example I knew I was operations when I got there. On that day, I found out I was working Fantasyland Attractions. I got my training schedule that day. On my MK training day, I found out which Attractions I would be doing. Then I trained for a week, and was then put out in rotation like everyone else.
I don't think you can ship things ahead of time because you wouldn't know where exactly to ship them. Just have your parents ship needed stuff once you get there. People do it all the time!
