About the Frontierland Hoedown and CBJ

I DO know it was never really a big priority, though...and it never will be.

Rob, when you meant by other shows/parades on property, did you mean shows/parades in the other parks (Epcot, MGM and Animal Kingdom) or just shows/parades at the Magic Kingdom?

I still want to know what the cast is rehearsing for. Holiday shows/parades maybe?

(sigh) Things get so tight around this time of the year that certain things end up not happening, especially with the rather more limited amount of staff that they have now.

holiday shows/parades and private conventions held over the holidays

Another observation that I think I should share...

The CMs that perform in the "Trolley Parade" appear to be "new people" to me...even though they might've performed in the Easter good morning show that was performed on Main Street this past April.

The "regular" MK parade ensemble members (Tanya, Melissa, Julianna, Sherry, Alison, Tommy, etc.), who perform in the Frontierland Hoedown, the Share a Dream Come True parade, Spectromagic, the Halloween and Christmas parades, Celebrate the Season, the Easter good morning show and possibly other things, haven't performed in the Trolley Parade...most of them at least.

If those "regulars" were in the Trolley Parade, I would've recognized them almost immediately and they would've recognized me and looked at me, considering the fact that I've been going to the parks more than I did in previous years since I now live in Florida for parts of the year.

Guess that further explains that the things the "regulars" are doing right now (the holiday shows/parades, the private conventions, etc.) are keeping them busy, therefore that's why the Hoedown is currently MIA.:(

Since the Hoedown coming back for Christmas is not possible (just like last year), the least I'm now hoping for now is that it will come back in January or so...after the busy, hectic Christmas season ends. By then, things should start getting back to normal, staffing and scheduling may not be as much of an issue as it is right now and maybe they'll be able to get the cast back. Also, college program CMs might be around to cover needed shifts at the other parks.

If not by January, maybe it'll return in the summer. The Hoedown, in a way, is kind of like something more suitable for summer than for winter anyway. Besides, overall the Hoedown comes out mostly seasonally/sporadically throughout the year. Why, it came out seasonally/sporadically throughout 2002.

Luckily, the Hoedown costumes, props, etc. are still available/accessible to the cast--that and the fact that the "Hoedown CMs" don't perform in the Trolley Parade are good signs.

I miss the Hoedown VERY much.:(

It's one of the best of the more "minor/surprise/often unscheduled" entertainment highlights at the Magic Kingdom...and it's very fun and interactive and a lot of the guests who saw it/participated in it seemed to enjoy it. I enjoy it, for one.

The Hoedown also gives "atmosphere" and "life" to the Frontierland area.

The Hoedown, IMO, is better than the Trolley Parade not only because it's fun and interactive but also because of the free stickers they gave out those free "I kicked up my heels in the Frontierland Hoedown" stickers to those who participated in it, including myself. Those stickers also seem to give the Hoedown a more importance/superiority IMO, since trying to get guests involved in entertainment highlights seems to have always been an essential ingredient in Disney's shows and parades.

To explain why I typed in the names above, I was giving examples to explain these things and I've also gotten to know "names".

I apologize for writing so much. It's just that I needed to get it all out, so can maybe at least try to relax a little.
