I was at Epcot tonight and listening to the opening voice at the beginning of Illuminations, a thought came to me.

Is the opening narration of Illuminations, Reflections of Earth done by Jim Cummings, the voice of Tigger?

hmmm, me thinks I'll have to remember to pay attention to the Illuminations narrator and listen for the similarities. I've never payed attention.

Didn't he also do the Sage of Time too? You know the newer one.

He did the opening narration for ToN, but the Sage of Time wasn't voiced by Jim Cummings. Its was sort of a deep powerful voice that Jim Cummings doesn't have.

I thought Sterling Hallaway (spelling?) provided the voice of Winnie the Pooh.

Sterling Holloway has one of the most distinct voices in entertainment. I know he has done the voice of Pooh previously..I assume he still is.

As for Jim Cummings: He was also the voice of Darkwing Duck, as well as several other characters, I believe.

And although I had never made this connection, I'm hearing the voice in my head now (not an unusual occurrence) and the similarities are clear. Next time I'm there, I'll probably half expect the narrator to bust out with Tigger's signature laugh.

That was apparently the case with me. I've seen this show at least a few dozen times and for some reason last night, I was paying attention to the opening narration and realized it sounded sort of like Tigger.

wow I have seen the show more times then I have fingers and toes and never noticed this under I read the topic. I can hear his voice in my head now "all of us at epcot, hope you have enjoyed reflections of earth".

Well now he dosn't say that anymore. Who is the women that does the spiels before the show?

I cant remember who the woman is though im sure it has come up in discussion on the boards here somewhere. I noticed though that this year the pre-show announcements have been re-done. Last time i was there when she said "In just 10 minutes..." or watever it was there was always a fairly long pause and it was like "In just.........10 minutes....". However this year the pause has gone.

Tigger's Voice

The original voice of Tigger in "The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh" was Paul Winchell who also originated the signature laugh.
