I know someone that is going down to Give Kids the World Feb 25th through March 2nd. They have a three day park hopper and are also going to Seaworld and Universal. My question is she said that gktw is about 15 minutes from wdw, but we all know what 15 minutes usually means it's more like 1/2 hour before you actually park and everything. Is this time really true? I have always stayed on property so I don't know what to tell the mom as to how long it will really take. Also is this time period really busy or is it a good time before spring break? Any help would be greatly appreciated. These people have never been and it may be there only time to go with their sick child. I want to be able to help and plan for them as much as possible so they can see most of dw. Thanks!!!!!!!!

I can get from Give Kids The World to DAK or MK in 20-25 minutes on average. MGM and Epcot is more like 15-20. Then you have to add in the time at the ticket booth and transportation to the front gate (which is different for each park). If they have a disabled placard for their car, they should bring it with them so they can use it in their rental car and get parking that is closer to the main entrances of each park.

When the family arrives at GKTW they'll be given a handbook with directions to all the Central Florida attractions. They'll also get a pre-arrival packet in the mail from GKTW.

In the meantime their wish granter should be able to answer any questions they have, or put them in touch with someone at GKTW who can.

Most of all they should enjoy themselves. There's plenty to do right at GKTW Village, so if they don't feel like going out to the parks that's okay too.
