? about camp grounds

My family and my parents are going to WDW later this year (September).:sohappy: We are staying at Poly (I think) and my parents are taking their RV down with them and their dogs. So here are the questions:
1. is it better for them to pull a car down with them or a golf cart to use to get back and forth from the parks or take the busses.
2. If they take a car down can they park it at our resort and catch the mode of transportation with us? depending what park we are visiting.
3. Not sure if I am going to get flammed on this next question, but can they swim at our resort pool with us?

Thanks,
MIke

1. is it better for them to pull a car down with them or a golf cart to use to get back and forth from the parks or take the buses. To get to the parks a car would be their only option as golf carts are not allowed on the streets. For getting around the camp ground itself a golf cart must be used as there is no car parking available at anywhere you would go inside of Ft Wilderness.
2. If they take a car down can they park it at our resort and catch the mode of transportation with us? Technically no. What you can do is get a parking pass for the Poly and put it in their car but they will also need a Poly room key to access the parking lot. However, if they have a car it will be easier to just let them pick you up and drive to the parks save for MK. For MK they can just park at the TTC and meet you at MK.
3. Not sure if I am going to get flammed on this next question, but can they swim at our resort pool with us? Again technically no.

Thanks,

If they have a golf cart and like using it then they should take it, they are expensive to rent. At FW, I think everything is more convient if you have a golf cart.

A car is another story. If they want to leave their car with you at the Poly, then you should tell the Poly that you are registering with a car and they will give you a parking pass to keep in the vehicle, thus allowing you to keep the car at your resort. However, then your parents will not have use of it so if you all decided not to use disney buses to get from one place to the next you would have to go pick up your parents to go with them or arrange to meet them wherever you all were going for the day. I honestly don't know why disney transportation is such a bad thing tho. From FW you can take a bus(or golf cart) to the marina and a boat to MK and then a monorail to Epcot or TTC and a bus to the other parks. It will take some time and switching but driving around a resort to pick someone up may take some time too. If your parents wanted to come to the Poly they could go from the FW marina by boat to MK and take the launch to the Poly or visa versa.

As for pool hopping, again what Richard said....technically no.

Look your actually staying at the Poly, so I think you would be ok having them in the pool. It's probably against the rules, but I think they would be hard pressed to not allow it if your presenting your room key as they enter with you. And before everyone gets techincal...I bet if they could have their dogs with them they would be staying right there in the Poly too, so this is an extreme circumstance.

Oh one other suggestion...if your taking a car they could take yours while they are down there. Poly has great access to the monorail etc...and they could just pic you up if need be.

Yes they would be with us, but a couple months ago they went on vacation without the dogs and had someone watching them, well one dog jumped the fence because a neighbor was shooting off fireworks and she got scared. She ran into the street and got hit and died. They were both devistated for weeks and now travel with the dogs always. They took them to Alaska for 2 months last year and justr got back from Flordia last week.

They can take the boat from FW to MK, and you can take the monorail. Meet in front of MK and go any wher from there. If you are going to travel in their car you can meet them at FW by taking the boat over. If you all want to swim together, although still against the rules, you would be less likely to raise questions at the FW pool.
